Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

CEO and CFO are scheduled to speak to wall street this week.

John Stankey and John Stephens are schedule for keynote addresses this week at different investment bank conferences. I would assume some details will be forthcoming from these events instead of the opaque plans of Portfolio Rationalization and Transformation. Its time to hear Bill Marrow's (Elliott) vision for ATT and how it will be rolled out over the next 2.5 years.

Going to talk to people that understand finances, instead of the anonymous board pretenders.

My source said that they will telll a tale of sucess, that the EG is not integral part of T's future, therefor HBOMAX IS NOT RELEVANT, and that 5G is the future....just don't talk about the AG group

Just like the earning calls, nothing but softball questions that the buffoons already have prepared answers for with bean counters and lawyers. Lots specifics with cost cutting, lukewarm bits on revenue growth and lots of blame on Covid19 and competitive market place. And dividends will continue and yarn, everyone goes home and recycle the same talking points. Just once, let a journalist or analyst that have the balls to call them out on their BS. News is a two way business now, nobody is going to rock the boat.

These are investor conferences and don't go much to that level. They keep everything to what impacts shareholders. Just a mention of cutting labor cost, expenses and capital. More focused on revenues, and margins.
