Eaay solution .for craft .Add years to age , seniority ,pen sion etc to older workers like the company used to do...and verizon still does. They want to leave believe me.Win win !
The skilled employees who can leave might. Some employees at ATT have had an easy job for years. They can't get a job with comparable pay. This is the problem with an environment like this. The company is concentrated with less skilled employees who won't leave until they are pushed out.
@1jwm+14MOHRBX - truth - too many people just waiting to be paid to leave. best time to leave is while you are still employed. you can take your time and really interview companies to make sure you are not going into an environment like att.
I found a better job and didn't wait - my boss tried to convince me to stay and get a severance payment. I decided to leave and that was the best decision of my life.
if you are a TDP / LDP, I'd jump now.
Former netdp in my office got hit by dinosaur area managers but found a job outside. Never a good thing when you have bosses and not leaders
I'm questioning why I stuck around as long as I have. Really sick and tired of this dead-end job. So I'm looking. Hopefully I'll find a much better one before the axe falls.

50 with 25 years (mgmt) , staying till laid off and severance.
Craft here, don’t care anymore either. Sad but the culture changed from customer service to bonus driven by any means necessary, it’s ruined a great company I used to care about and had pride in. I’m tired of the daily/weekly meetings only talking about what 1 or 2 things people did wrong and not about the 99% they did right. I don’t care about their bonus, only the customer who pays my bills.
Big data, micromanaged, six sigma, rebadging, offshoring, bonus driven is the ruination of this company. Real issues and concerns are an afterthought these days.
I'm milking this cow till her udders are dry. Then I will take my severance and kiss this sinking ship goodbye.
After all, that's basically what Randalll has done so why can't us little people do the same?
Well I’m craft. I’d be stupid to quit as I’d lose out on severance. I will milk att for as long as I can. I do not care anymore and it’s liberating.
I'm just here for the payout. Used to care. Don't much anymore. Kinda sad about that.
Colleagues that have been able to find better paying jobs just leave. It is usually better to find a new job while you are still working.
The rest of us just wait for the decision to be made for us.
