Return to Workplaces (RTW) task force

Is anyone here on this task force or know anyone on it that can give us updates on the plans? Also, provide any thoughts/ideas here about return to work that can be shared with any task force members that may be on here.

My submittal for Paid Time-Off was initially denied because I did not write in the Subject Line what my specific health condition was for classification as "High Risk", never considering the HIPAA restrictions about providing anyone information regarding another person's medical records or health condition.

Additionally, even though you must provide the name of your Healthcare Provider along with their telephone number, they never bother to CALL your doctor and ask specific questions directly to your personal doctor. So, only God knows how much fraud has occurred with this CV - Timeoff Policy we have here at ATT.

Out of the four weeks of eligible Paid Time-off, I accepted the fact that I would probably get one week; which as the saying goes is better than nothing, right?

Well, now I am being told by my Supervisor that I must return to work on Friday, May 1st when it states online right now at the COVID-19 TIME-OFF REQUEST website on the CV Time-off Submittal Form the following:

"The last day an employee can take off under this temporary policy is May 1, 2020"

I have not seen or received any email from HR or the COVID-19 Task Force informing me that I should return to work on May 1st even though their website states otherwise.

Considering the amount of company email that we receive on a daily basis, don't you think they would send us an email in an official capacity to RTW on May 1st, if in fact that really is the official date to Return to Work?

Why would this be delivered by Word of Mouth and not as a Company-level directive?

Is everyone experiencing this or is it just me?

Is my local Management just trying to screw me out of a legitimate paid day off or am I missing something here?

Why haven't I received anything officially from the people running this program? Since when did we start doing this kind of stuff based upon Word-of-Mouth? Frankly, I don't trust them, OK? There....I said it.

“ There are some things more important than living.”

Spoken like a true Trump tubesteak gobbler. Glad you feel that way because we need you to go ahead and sacrifice yourself for the greater good. (the rest of us)

Why are you special, the company doesn’t care despite the rhetoric ? Those of us on the front line haven’t stopped working even without proper PPE. We continue to be dispatched BAU even though we’ve asked over and over to assume each interaction as unsafe and work appropriately.

There are some things more important than living. Nobody wants to die but we've got to take some risks and get this country back up and running.

RTW task force member checking in to hopefully alleviate any concerns you may have about returning to our wonderful Death Star collaboration zones. We will carefully consider our agenda and ignore all of your concerns.
For starters, collaboration zones will be reclassified per CDC guidelines as Hot Zones. Plexiglass partitions will be prohibited in accordance with our Green initiative of being a better global climate partner.
Temperature checks will be required for all employees and contractors upon entering any office location. Due to budget constraints, modern IR temperature scans will not be used. Old fashion rectal thermometers will be used instead. We are working with health agencies locally and nationally to determine the most prudent time to mandate a return to work. Early discussions have targeted late summer or early Fall to coincide with the Second Wave outbreak.

“No job is so important and no service is so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.“

1- Is the company ensuring our safety?
with no cure for this particular virus or the fact that collaboration zones are a petri dish for any infectious virus.

2-is it environmentally responsible to have people commute?
it has been proven that less people on the road has improved the air quality in many countries and cities.

But let’s face it the company needs us back in the office to collect their assets as the layoffs thousands.
