Earnings report in and in a quarter that Netflix showed record gains, we lost about 900,000 more TV customers. And the spin "focus on long-term value customer base". Do we have any of those left?

speaks volumes when most of the country was in lock down for at least a third of the quarter. you would think people would keep their video since they are home after all.

We do have long-term customers still. For this that need DirecTV because they can't get anything else, well that's the only option and it works great for them. For those living in a city, you can do Netflix and the Disney bundle that comes with ESPN plus and Hulu. Together, it's less than $30 and you get essentially everything you want. Our base package for AT&T TV is $40 or $50. What a joke, and that's only for the first year. You know it's a joke when we decide to create the first contract for a streaming service. What incentive do customers even have for switching to us? A remote with Google? How is that even a competitor in this market? If you've touched it, you'll also know that there is an extreme lag in that system. Siri works way better on the Apple TV. Overall, that's the better way to go. Apple TV, Roku Stick, or Fire Stick.
Stankey knows the TV business better than anyone, according to Stankey
I’m not sure why the new streaming prices are so high. Doesn’t T own a bunch of content.
Remember when the worst of the subscriber loss was behind us?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.
These buffoons in charge of AT&T don't know what they are doing - or perhaps they know what they are doing and that is scarier. They keep betting on the losing video business; DTV was a complete waste of money - the streaming market is saturated and I don't know why these id–tS continue to push the streaming business with the crazy expensive pricing.
Shame on you Randall, Stankey and the so called leadership team at AT&T for ruining this great company and so many lives of hard working employees. You still gave yourselves huge pay raises! do you guys even have a conscience?????
No acceptability, accountability, responsibility describes our executive team, with this type of execution.. fire them all Now!
LOL!
This last quarter for Netflix, added 16M new subs, I guess we know where some of our customer base went

Are we still saying that Entertainment Group's EBITDA has been stabilized, like the Q4?
Disney+ has 5 million subs in 5 months. Stank said people will get bored after Mandalorian is over. A few of the executive repeated the same line as it was gospel. Look who is laughing now, go watch the mug shots from Stank/Mcfresh/Murrow video.
Actually, this quarter was quite an accomplishment even for Randy and Johnny. Not only have they managed to load the company up to record levels of debt late in the business cycle (granted, no one saw the Corona Virus coming, but 10 years into a bull market has got to tell you the end of the cycle is near), but they also managed to make the business much more cyclical at exactly the wrong time. I feel sorry for the guy taking over TW, I hope he knows what he is getting into after Johnny went through there like a bull in a china shop. The most amazing thing is that Randy still has a job after the T-Mobile and Direct TV fiascos and now the present state of affairs at TW and the company in general.
Disco'd my 8M Uverse internet (all copper) and DTV last month.
Uverse was $35ish, DTV was $120 a month.
I'm now getting 100M and the same channels on Spectrum for $90.
They make it impossible to be loyal.
Actually it was more like a loss of 1.035 million subscribers . Premium TV (897K) & DirecTV Now (138K). That's a loss of 20% video subscribers in the past year.
Still going with the customers we don’t want mantra. So sick of so called leaders bs in this world . Wonder how the internet and wireless customers numbers looked like. I know I was one that got rid of wireless and internet. But I was one of those customers randy and john didn’t want.
