Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

OPUS

I have heard that a contract with SalesForce was signed to develop a replacement for OPUS. Anyone know if this is true?

They said on the insider video they would be replacing the retail CRM apps, and consolidating them all down to one. They also don't want to have any developers or IT staff to run it and will be going cloud first. They didn't mention a specific solution but SFDC makes sense.

But as a previous user of a SFDC hosted app, you'll look back on the days when OPUS had higher uptimes and was more performant.

Yep. AT&T will look to "IT rationalization," Stankey said, which includes eliminating unneeded applications and moving applications to the cloud.
