Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Thank You For The 20% Raise

T gets a lot of grief but they finally got one right. In a time where many Americans are losing their job, front line employees will be receiving a 20% hazard bonus. I for one am very grateful! Thank you T!

Scum! They conveniently axed 8000 jobs in Nov. Even wonder what those employees think ? Some of us are still working our former jobs with an outsourced vendor

“Worked hurricanes .....just man up. “. All I could
think of is that song Macho Macho Man. Another fool who thinks all will crash if he doesn’t man up. “ The cemetery is full of “indispensable “ people”, quote from Benjamin Franklin. Everyone has to decide risk vs reward. I know if I wasn’t paid I would not show up. BE SAFE !

Thankful! Wtf you risk you’re life and the families you come in contact with along with your own for a whole 20 percent?! Ignorant and stupid, if you have children and god forbid they catch the covid-19 and have to get quarantined alone in a room with nobody and afraid, you still gonna be happy about that 20 percent? 20 percent is NOTHING, it’s an extra hundred bucks because taxes will make that 20 percent change!

each one of us will make a choice, for me my family is gold, for others work is gold,it is about exposure, so
definetely you Go and get infected, ad comeback when recovered, that is if you recover.

I'm sorry to point it at you @gnx+149x7n2v. There have been many viruses flying around. This one appears to be different, spreading much faster than any other affecting more people every day. This appears to be a serious stuff. The 20% raise, or 100% raise will not matter if a someone is hit with this new one. Just hope, the person will survive it at this time, where no cure is available.

I think, taking a safety measures are more important than money at this time.

What is meant by front line? Is it also for international. Curious how Accenture will take it after 4/1 when FBO moves there.

Worked Hurricanes Andrew, Sandy, Irene, Katrina, Rita. Others.
Ice storms.
Tornadoes.
Floods.
Worked through the Swine flu, HIN1, Bird flu, Zika. Others
All we ever got was a Malaria and Tetanus shot before going. And a metric ton of OT $$$$.
No wonder they want you new folks gone.
Man up.

I guess T is doing this because senior management cares about the welfare of their front line people, right? Tell that to the people that aren't in a union job.

Typical soulless corporate BS.

Just watch when (if) the pandemic is gone, all techs who got the 20% raise will be surplussed.

Now every tech that took the paid leave is reconsidering their “health concerns”.

Money can solve so many health and wellness problems!

You really should be thanking the Union. They pushed for this last week in an article I read. God Bless the Union. I wish people would quit saying they just want our money.

We should be proud of management for this gesture. There is nothing to complain about and those who do shame themselves.
