I got the letter. Want me to relocate from one side of the country to the other. Whatever I decide, I’m not telling them until the deadline. I have compelling reasons for remote working, but they are heartless bast4rds and couldn’t care less. Saul said last summer it would have not affect a handful of people, and nobody asked him why, then, did it make sense, given the negative impact in employees and their families. The board bought his BS line about it being for “Agile”, but it’s obvious it’s a thinly veiled way to cut headcount. They are pushing full speed ahead to automate everything related to IT as quickly as possible so they can cut headcount. We have already seen entire teams let go without warning due to reorgs. Managers too. The blood has only just started to flow.

how are they figuring out the forced ranking system; if i can finish same work in 75% of time of someone else, i get more work or pay increase?

And if I end up working 15 hour days do i get over time?

How do the metrics work? I want to make the most $$$

forced ranking system, will this get me a pay raise? I think I was already part of it without knowing! Non stop work, 15 hour days by 7 days a week and 40 hour pay only!

The following financial institutions have committed to their employees that they will not lay off any staff this year given the pandemic: Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank.

"HSBC said it would hold off on previously announced reductions."
"Wells Fargo is also suspending new job cuts and paused "initiating new displacements" as it evaluates the situation, according to a spokeswoman."

VISA has carefully committed not to lay people off "in relation to the impact of" C19.

Hello all.
I got the noticed but don’t plan to decide until july 15th. I was originally deciding not to relocate,
But it really depend on how the coronavirus plays out as most companies I was looking to get a job will have a hiring freeze.
We should voice our concerns. it’s tough for us to make a sound decision now even with July time frame, and the world working remote whenever possible. Wrong timing for wells to force it.

If you accept the offer but don’t relocate you won’t get your package. For me, I am better off not accepting the relocation by July 15th and waiting to get my displacement notice on November 1st which is a 60 day notice. Then let my package kick in. Plus at that point we are all entitled to our 2020 bonus.

They want people to quit - that is the goal of this. F

or long-time employees ( e.g., say 8 years or more), do the math and see if severance/aka salary continuation - amount makes sense for you.

If you are shorter-term employee (less than 8 years), probably better to accept the offer - whatever your actual intentions — wait and see how this plays out.

Again, there is no reason to promptly reply – there is no reason to reply until July 15.

They have failed to provide information; don't give them any sort of response until deadline.

you all would be fools to take the package because you will eventually be displaced from your new location in a couple of years with the new forced ranking system that is being rolled out.

Also, Does the location you were asked to relocate make geographic sense considering your current location?
