at the layoff.com this scenario was discussed extensively for years, happy to report , it is your reality now.
The real experts are the guys that complain a few weeks after the fact, claiming they knew all along it was going to happen.
we have a Randall wannabe infiltrated and spreading rumors of success, lol
Yeah they'll suspend the dividend, 3M just did and they are in actual demand, others will follow. What a mess but its all on Rat and Stinky. Fill their parachutes with bricks and toss them out the window.
Agree that stock can go to low 20s. Don't agree about the dividend yield. Will be lower or nothing at all
T stock is right now where it was in Nov. 1995. 7.3% dividend yield, right now, assuming dividend stays in place and gets paid. Savor that dividend every quarter, because for almost the past 25 years, it's now all you've made if you held on to T over that time frame. Wall Street is not happy with T right now in particular, even though there's panic selling of most stocks now anyway.
10% Yield? Unlikely.
Other than layoff people, guess what a company does when they want to reduce debt? Suspend (not reduce) the dividend. Watch for it. AT&T will say it was due to the coronavirus. Cross your fingers that they don't file for bankruptcy to wipe out all common shares which is another way for companies to reduce debt.
AT&T IS THE ONLY ONE TO BLAME, MORE DEBT, ON TOP OF MORE DEBT, ON TOP OF IT, WE HAVE A CEO WITH GRANDIOSITY SYNDROM.
that is because nothing changed after the financial crisis except the fed gets to do what they want without running it by congress and the senate first. the people ran it into the ground in 2008 are still in charge.
