Ok so let's say in 9 days (what's left on 15 days) nothing has changed and stores stay closed. Does Verizon start layoffs? What about after 30 days? Basically is retail safe? Or is this the end?

They can stay closed forever. No one cares. Retail is dead unless you are Walmart or Target.

This company is and has been bogged down by bureaucracy and those who haven't adapted to be yes people tend to get sacrificed. How bout everyone who is posting negativity here who works for this company who is giving you 100% pay and 100% commissions just decide to give up that guarantee and just jump off the train so there is more $$ to pay those who are appreciative. Be very careful, some of you don’t know how good you’ve got it right now.
Just enjoy what time you have off. Don’t worry about what’s going to happen. Unless your an sm or Gm your off. At some point Verizon will reopen the stores. Stores won’t stay closed. Verizon is for profit.
Y’all have been wanting them to close us for 2 weeks now and they did. So worry about not getting corona not when will they reopen the stores. Worry about that when we have to worry about it.
Verizon like many other corporations don’t understand that as time goes by the situation is going to get worse, not better. We aren’t even close in this country to leveling the curve of daily infections and they are talking about slowly incorporating reps to work again while re-opening stores? It speaks volumes about leadership and their disconnection from reality or they just simply don’t care and want numbers sitting in their mansions (because they won’t work themselves in the stores facing infected r—da trying to pay bills and upgrade phones that work perfectly).
I honestly feel sorry for my managers that have to work during this because of what an executive wants.
Vzw is a business. If it makes sense $$ wise then they’ll reopen. Some locations will remain closed permanently. Harsh reality but it is what it is.
Verizon is going to do what Verizon is going to do, we don’t matter. Just be honest.
