Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Re: the $3B loan

China Mobility just lost 9M subs. Thought about this, at $200/month for a family for unlimited, who is going to be able to afford it? The competition is better and smarter, don't think anyone would disagree...and they don't have ~$200 BILLION in debt to account for plus a 6% yield.

The stock price isn't done going down imo. I think we are in for some harder times, I know, how can it get worse, right.

Something has to give here. The TV, I don't care if you reference AT&T TV, HBO, DTV, etc...they are all dead money. Without Mobility to save the day, which I think could come under major pressure, what's Randy going to do?

You don’t need to wait until you retire. AT&T, even with its employee discount can’t compete with many deals out there today.

When I retire I’ll be shopping for the best price and coverage for cellular. Doubt AT&T can compete.

There is one good thing related to the truth of this post:

Randell will have to retire at the end of the year or sooner

Chairman/CEO roles will be split

Stankey will not get Chairman role

New outside Executive Chairman will hate Stankey

Stankey will either get canned or quit

Unfortunately there will be an ugly mess left no growth or decline in mobility revenues, HBO + a bust, and huge amounts of debt. Really bad news for employees

Concordantly, while your question may be the most pertinent, you may or may not realize it is also the most irrelevant, just as AT&T In today's market...Randall is one of the most hated CEOs in US.

Randy will pay the workers, pay the shareholders. Even the complainers will get paid.
