The NETWORK is essential. As a sales rep, I can’t tell you the last time I’ve climbed a pole and fixed an issue. Those techs are your essential employees. Everything else can be done online or thru a retailer and within HOURS. This is pure greed

On 3/20 Director isn’t having calls or updates on any platform we use! Be a bit more fragile to situation and make sure we do what’s right for employee experience you proclaim to have.

The irony of the situation feeds into vzw greed. They do online only deals to minimize traffic into the stores, divest/close "non profitable stores" and want us to minimize people's time in the store with smart setup YET here we are global pandemic and NOW they need stores open to service ppl when all along they've been pushing ppl out of the store. Doesnt make a lot of sense to us.

Verizon better have a great reason to stay open starting Monday. Guest Experience, Essential needs shouldn’t be valid on why many will be risking their life’s.

Managers at the door is dangerous too how are they suppose to keep distance? If the manager contracts it may get the rest of the staff with virus too?! HELO .... I haven’t seen leadership in store convenient for DMs and Director.

Isn’t Bay Area already on lockdown? When I went to Verizon store locator all of the corporate stores were showing closed for San Francisco so I would think it would be the same thing for everyone else.

Yup, all they need is a dial tone.

If Verizon wants to be classified as utility and keep stores open, they should pick 1 or 2 within 30 min-1 hour drive and staff it by volunteer employees who should get paid time and a half, or even double. Healthy young people with no children (since schools are closed) or older family members at home. The rest stay at home with base pay. Why is this so hard? And the traffic is not as usual right now so they only need 2-3 reps per store. Put a sign on the door that there will be no troubleshooting besides call/text and data capabilities. I guarantee most employees if not all will be ok with that.

If we are essential then why do we need every store open? If someone needs a phone they can drive 40 mins to get one. Have 1 store open for every hour drive. Then have it where the manager checks the person in and their ID, the rep calls the customer as they are in their car, do the push notification and talks to them as they wait in there car to figure out most of their issue or what they want. If they are buying a phone, the transaction can almost be completed before the customer comes in. But I don’t get why delivery can’t be set up out of one store for first responders. Like it’s not necessary for all of them to be open.

We are only there to provide a SIM card. That’s the only “essential” thing Verizon does. People can next day by 10am get one delivered.

LAC mayor stated there are exemptions to "non essential" businesses when it comes to telecommunication businesses which requires city and businesses to find out between themselves. Directors are relaying to everyone mayor had stated mayor said we are indeed "essential"...come on...
