Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Where's our marketing push for ATT TV?

Come on guys - people are being quarantined by the millions and I have yet to see any Ad barrage promoting the new ATT TV self-install streaming service.

We should be talking up the fact that unlike DTV or U-Verse, it requires no Prem Tech potentially dripping viruses through out your house - sell the service as being clean, sterile and safe for Grandpa and Grandma.

Nothing sells like s-x and fear - if we can't be s-xy, at least be fearful.

Hate to point out the obvious, people are watching these ads on other TV or steaming services. Are they going to switch, with these insane prices, probably not. T is aiming for high margin, low customer base. Might work, but marketability and reputation goes to trash. Meanwhile, CEO’s keep getting pay raises.

If you’re a shareholder, and many of you are, make your vote count.

It's cause we can not handle the extra bandwith for streaming since Randy did not want a world class netowrk, but instead spent the cash trying to buy hollywood so everyone at his high school reunion "could see him now."

The roku and Netflix is proof that people can self install. Neither have any techs.

You can tell that the OP is a management sociopath just by his attitude toward Prem Techs - "dripping with viruses". At least they show the courage to be out in these dangerous conditions you brown nosing POS.

This poorly designed piece of cr#p will go the way of Digital Life and externally mounted iNids. Remember when those were the next big thing?

TV is low priority right now per management and to be honest no one cared about the product anyway so at least T can blame the numbers on the virus. Op is so clueless to he thinks sending that pos box to old farts is a good solution when in reality techs still have to show up and help them install it and show them the basics right before the buyer realizes what the f— they just got duped into cancel the following day.

I’ve seen some ads but not recently. I don’t think this is high on most people’s list of needs.

why would anybody want to bother dealing with att's service and billing when I am sure they have tons of more important items to deal with day to day

Always a day late and $180B short. This company is so arrogant, they think the id–t consumers are just chomping at the bit to throw money at this scam.

Likely a big missed opportunity, but with all the unknowns we're facing as a society, the last thing I would want right now is to sign up for a 2 year contract with unknown hidden fees that can be increased at anytime when there are so many alternatives for less $.

This is just the same antiquated cable/sat business model with a different means of delivery. The same type of service that people have fleeing with the "cord cutting" move. It really makes no sense.
