I listen to the ask me anything on replay today. Wow what is sad situation. I personally think those impacted by phase one should go to the media in addition to the board of directors. The media picked up on Manila shut down but didn't say a heck of a lot about the employees being held with their feet to the fire due to this location strategy.

It would make had big headlines now with the push to work from home due to the pandemic. Just a thought.

It's time to call out Saul Van Beurden for the "wacko" Location Strategy that is apparently delayed but still on track. It should not take a pandemic to reveal the idiocy and incompetence of this executive.

Complain to Board of Directors and EthicsLine: Wells Fargo executives will ignore all pushback through the normal channels (I.e. HR, Accommodation Management, etc). There is no exception process. HR is going through all the motions of this "process" but the result will always be "exception denied."

1) email the the Board of Directors - boardcommunications@wellsfargo.com

2) report this incompetent and unethical conduct to EthicsLine: https://www.tnwgrc.com/wellsfargo/

Saul Van Beurden's inconsistent and contradictory messaging is unethical conduct. It is morally bankrupt, misleading and rapidly destroying morale during a crisis. His Location Strategy is detrimental and ignores pandemic threat. It has caused severe harm already by creating Reputational, Financial, Operational and Legal Risks for Wells Fargo.

Again, Wells Fargo executives will ignore all pushback through the normal channels: it would likely take an class action lawsuit and coordinated effort by all Phase One impacted employees to get their attention.- i.e., Phase One likely targeted and discriminated (illegally) against employees by age and perhaps by other protected criteria (e.g, ,disabililty). Proving discrimination and disparate impact is uphill battle. But in this case, the selection criteria and data model for Phase One look pretty shaky - pretty flimsy pretext for what it is obvious strategy to get experienced and older employees to quit.

Also, if you have a special situation - sorry - go and look for another job if you cannot move.To the guys who ask that question because there is a very sick family member - get a lawyer and see what your options are."

Do not go visit a branch to cheer them up.

You expose yourself and them to the virus.

Saul corrected himself at the end, probably because someone's eyebrows went up so high when he said it that they screamed in pain and caught his attention.

What a thoughtless thing.

Did I hear Saul say we should go visit a local branch and offer morale support? That wisdom contradicts about 3 or 4 guidelines. Sorry, buddy that would be your job.

Wow there is just basically nothing left that's worthy of respect when it comes to management in this place.

Sorry Saul, but today was a complete fail at even faking empathy!

Your Location Strategy is pure folly and and complete hubris in the face of a pandemic.

Listen and learn? Not from anybody this clueless and tone-deaf – watch out for more humble-brags from this clown.

It sounds like everyone with exceptions should go get a new job now, given that they are now hiring in hub offices to replace them too. It is clear that execs have no intention of negotiating or flexing. (If WF loses "critical staff" now, they might have to at least slow down the bulldozer of "phase 2.")

I am at BNYM employee. This is coming directly from Scharf. He did the exact same thing at BNYM. ITS HIS MO.
Try to get as many people to leave on their own as possible without paying them severance that they earned through their years of service. He is a terrible human being and you’re only hope karma catches up to him

The loudest message you can send is to not go to AMA meetings - you are in effect turning your back.

I am interested to see how this works out for Saul. Do you all remember when the new CEO of yahoo forced all her employees to come into the office. Google to see how that panned out for her. She is no longer CEO, it crippled yahoo!

Seems that some people say "seems like" when they have no actual knowledge of what they're talking about.

Seems to me that the majority of people being forced to relocate or lose their job are close to retirement age. Karma is a b!tch Saul!

Some people stood up and told Saul that there are real people who will be hurt by the location strategy, and Saul's replies were just heartless.

The guy's a jerk, and not installing confidence or inspiring loyalty, so, not a good leader.

He's just a showboat.

The HR person did tell the guy asking the question about an exception to contact her. So it sounds like there is an exception process, but they weren't transparent about it. Saul was just saying too bad.

Location strategy will continue, even thought there is a setback from Saul's view. Also, if you have a special situation - sorry - go and look for another job if you cannot move.

To the guys who ask that question because there is a very sick family member - get a lawyer and see what your options are.

What did I miss? Since they are scheduling tech meetings to prioritize timezones in India now, I was not able to call in. This is where I get my info now.

TIA.
