Who wants to bet cubicles will make a huge comeback after the whole pandemic thing is done with?

Study after study shows open floor plans are LESS productive and distracting. Meetings aside, developers and IT professionals need less open space and some isolation to concentrate.

I brought this up way back when this was first talked about, and I got the impression they didn't care.

Doubt anyone read my exit survey where I expressed concerns about illness being spread around in the open office environment.

Don't worry - even if my new company, people are coming to work sick. That's the issue that really needs to be addressed as a country.

Efficiency & Effectiveness (E&E) 2020, Workplace 2020 programs and initiatives, remember these?! Now all those open floor plans are a cesspool of communal germs not to mention loss of productivity. Try chasing down some random Admin Asst who won’t grant you badge access. Territorial pack of wolves for sure. The technology in most locations if not all locations is antiquated and useless. Probably should have invested more in infrastructure, cloud based apps and VPN traffic. By the way, all that Telepresence and Video Conferencing is End of Sale and End of Life. It was purchased 6-7 years ago. Maybe a year or 2 of support left. Hilarious.

Numerous studies have proven that open floor plans result in reduced productivity.
