I work from home for the bank and have for years....but now everyone that has a job that can be done remotely is moving to working from home too. I love it and just so happy to be working right now. Thank you GOD!
I agree, work from home is ok for emergency's but interaction with other team members is essential for a company to succeed. When you invisible, you miss many opportunities for growth and well being.
Well, you'll never become an executive working from home but that's you choice!
Millennials will be the ones who change how work is done. Remote is our future. If you disagree, stand aside because the change will be demanded.
My group has been told we're a critical function of the bank and we don't have laptop. We were told we're expected to come in to work. Why people who serve a critical function have not been given laptops is absolutely astounding to me. Meanwhile those that can work from home are being asked to not log in if they don't serve a critical function.

IT is switching to WFH completely
I am in IT and I've been working for home for last 4 years. I am a boomer.
If you want to keep your job, I would stay at your desk. If you want to work from home, your not contributing. You must be a millennial.
