Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Tech Contracts Not Renewed

My team abruptly let go of three contractors we desperately needed in January. Their contacts were not renewed.

Another was told their contract will not be renewed. They allocated their work to our full time team members who are already overwhelmed because we are short staffed. Anyone experiencing this ?

Well there is a limit to just how long you can work 18 hour days, during the business days and weekends. Your body goes into "stress mode". Maybe some "panic attacks" as well. I have done this many times while working at Wells Fargo. In order to work 10, 12 or some 18 hour days I just had to start telecommuting. After a between 2.5 hour +++ commute (to city), or a little less than 2 hour commute to new closer office location, there is no way that I am up to then logging in back home and continuing to work until 10 PM, or so. Where is dinner? Have worked the latest to 1 AM but had a former co-worker saying he was working 4 AM to 1 AM. He quit and has left Wells Fargo to find a better life for himself and his family. This is the honest truth so help me GOD.

Same here, all day every day. They never replace the people they let go, retire or contracts expire. Let the work pile up, do your eight hours then STOP!. Let your internal customers get angry and complain to upper management. As long as you're getting the work done by taking years off your life, WFB won't do anything to lessen the load. They won't put anything on your tombstone or help your loved ones if you stroke out from UNPAID overtime. It seems Wells needs a few more lawsuits as they continue to feed their hostile work environment. All they care about is saving dollars, they do NOT care about their employees.

Better than having our work outsourced?

Charlie hates paying contractors and outside firms to do the work that internal team members should be doing.

My team has been asked to take up some of the work being done by a team that is leaving. I don't want to say much beyond that.

But yes, we're going to get piled on, which will cause good people to leave.

Part of the attrition process.

Good luck everyone.
