Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

IHX is committing fraud

I'm about to quit IHX, they're forcing us to commit fraud!! They are making us add military discounts to customers accounts even if they're not military. I don't feel comfortable anymore so im ready to move on. Also, why are they forcing us to do cold calls? and go without a tech to their house! Isn't that solicitation? We Work until 9 or 10 pm! Is this even legal? So many wrong things!! Oh and no breaks. Stay away from IHX dont do it!! You won't have a life and you will lose your soul.

This is false information. IHX can’t add military discounts without consent. First off you need an iD to enter account. Secondly, you need to use a military ID to accept the terms which is monitored by global security, so I’m not sure how they are asking you to do that!

Retail has a union. They don’t do anything. They are doing fraud too. Or installing fraud (why install directv when you can just plug in boxes for existing customers?)

Unionize the work force. Reach out to your local union and start having a conversation.

You have 2 choices:
1- don’t do fraud. you will look like a trash seller bc you can’t compete with the fraudsters, you will be made miserable, and will be fired.

2 - do fraud. You will be a winner, be happy, and have high comp checks. MAYBE you will be fired for doing fraud eventually, but that’s very unlikely since upper management is in on the fraud.

Either way - you are gambling with the same chips (your job). Placing your bet on being ethical is HIGHER RISK (with a LOWER payout) than placing your bet on fraud. Sad but true.

At least when you get fired for fraud, you made money until you got caught. (And you probably won’t ever be fired, just promoted)

Many of us have reported to AP. They seem to be protecting it.

But it you really care that much-
Lay low, get plenty of examples, document everything, report it all to the SEC (for stock holder fraud), and hope for the best- aka Wells Fargo 2.0.

The rest of us will keep collecting those pennies as long as we can.

It may be all over, but it is MUCH worse in the west (retail and IHX). The more west you go, the worse it gets. They will try to fire anyone who reports it. If they can’t fire you, they will isolate and torment you until you just quit.

It’s been that way for years. Without their fraud, they would be exposed, and have to actually do work. They will never that happen. Thank god I got out. I pity the good people who can’t escape it.

All communication by email. To and fro.
Then forward it to your personal email.
Never answer a supervisors call. Ever. Have them leave a voice message. As a matter of fact, never answer your phone at all. Listen to messages, record those you need to.
I didn't answer due to:
Cell dead spots, bad device, busy with customers, dead phone, intermittent issues, on break, didn't hear it ,etc.
"Ty..could you email me what you want me to do in these situations. I strive to do as I'm told. Ty so much"
Their rules..use them.
but do a good job.
And try to run them out of $$$.

Yeah I’m in Vegas. Sounds like home to me. 9 open HR investigations. No change. I’ve come to realize if we don’t like what’s going on we have to leave. I just wonder what the pay decrease is going to a store and going from salary to hourly

It's ALL the markets. not just out west. This company is rotten to the core. Everybody is expected to create a sale with every customer interaction. If a customer calls into tech support, their first priority is to upgrade them on something. If a customer walks into a store with a question, sales is very likely to start a new service in their name, whether the customer approved it or not.

This place is a rotten, despicable, unethical, greedy hellhole.

How about the intentional churn where a store swears they can only offer a discount to a customer's long-term DTV account if they first cancel in one spouses name and reopen a new account in the other spouses name instead.

Or they play game that you are eligible for an Upgrade to the latest equipment on your DTV. We get to their house ready to install a Genie HR54 and find that guess what - they already have a Genie HR54.

Better yet, someone with a pending new install drops by a store for an unrelated reason and later finds that their helpful rep after offering to 'check" their order has instead cancelled the original order and rewrote a new one under the reps ID so they get a commission. Never telling the customer that their due date for install just got pushed out a week.

C-ap like this is why us Techs feel like we work for a bush league mafia.

I already called asset protection, they did the same to our team. Expect a an investigation soon, they told me the more people, the quicker this gets resolved. I suggest you call and make it anonymous, i didnt do it anonymous so they know who to target.

Don't do anything against the COBC. Call and report it to Asset protection, if you did nothing, you can't be fire. If you are fired and did not commit a violation of the COBC, call EEOC for retaliation.
They do this with every intention of you catching yourself doing something, then you "can't report it." You can but you would be fired as well.

Shows how desperate senior management to making books look legit. I advise any who is forced to commit fraud is document what is being done claim whistle blower status and call the police. That is stealing just like a thug taking your wallet on the street. That is what randy and Stankey are nothing but bully thugs.

It’s not just IHX. Fraud is taking over the stores too. There’s more fraud than actual sales now. Seems like no one really cares anymore.
What state are you in?
