Accenture deal seems to have fallen through. Most assuredly AT&T misrepresented what our jobs really entailed. So we can sign up for new Tier 2 jobs in Birmingham. That’s it. They don’t even tell us what those jobs pay. I have no doubt a lot less. For a c-appy $10k relo?
This email doesn’t say jack. I’m absolutely certain they’re going to stick it to us even worse than we thought.

This FBO needs some competent leadership. What a weak group from the SVP down to the directors.
@2jcl - AL is cheap labor compared to other parts of the country. Makes sense they'd try to push work there at a lower tier pay rate. Still American workers!, but most definitely not a solution for the people previously doing the work elsewhere in the states.

Apparently Accenture deal is still going forward as planned, just on hold?
So company is still outsourcing work but created new work in Birmingham for impacted employees that want to move? How is that saving money? Wasn’t thAt the reason for sending work offshore?
Any details on what the Issue with Accenture is?
I’m in a tech (occupational) title in Georgia. All managers on the floor have been told they were all surplus by year end (previously). No mention as to what is going to happen to my job or what’s going to happen to the dozen billing clerks. Anyone hear anything?
Wait until you hear what the Accenture re-plan is!! This is totally insane. It becomes obvious FBO leaders are totally brainless. The VP and AVPs are totally lost and clueless.

I'm sure you have been to all areas of the state and spoke with everyone that lives in Al, to determine that they are all "Narrow Minded" and "Backwards Mentality". Maybe you need to increase your circle of influence because I am sure there are all types of people with all types of ideology, living all around you. But what do I know, I'm not wearing shoes and married my cousin.
Would there be pay cuts if you accepted this new Tier 2 position? Pay raises (of course not). $10,000 is hardly decent relo money. No mention of pay AT ALL. That email answered one question, but raised a dozen more. Not to mention that by moving out the next lay-off date to 2021, we’ll lose the Medicare supplement. There is no benefit to us from this, just prolonged stress. We’ve had four months to plan our retirement move. People put houses on the market. I know of one that sold their house and signed a new lease for a rental four states away. T doesn’t care about mindlessly upending lives.
When a respectable company does this type of thing, they’ll buy your house. Granted, not for huge profit, but it helps. Not AT&T. What a cluster eff.
What a cluster f this is. No announcement it was put on hold - just word of mouth that Accenture wasn't allowed to communicate with us. The email from Weaky Weaklend today looked like a 6th grader wrote it. She had that heifer marburger program managing this farce that was going no where. Managers had no clue this email was coming and could not answer employee questions. What's next in this clown show?
