I’m hearing our second level up state has to get rid of 11 service techs and 28 prem techs before end of year

All the company has to do is focus on chronic FMLA abuse and fraud and they will have more than the numbers they need

As someone else said when ATT TV gets going and they effectively stop selling U-verse TV there will be huge cuts. There will still be a need for techs to install internet and directv but definitely not as many as they have now.

OPTs that we’re surplussed in 2019, sent to installations training, just to clarify.

The numbers will be far worse.

ATTtv is a prem job k–ler. The company will stop selling Uverse almost immediately. And over time stop supporting the service.

No more 4 box installs to fill the hours. Mostly plug and play like with a Roku. Add the “enjoy” contractors and the customer’s ability to use any broadband service and everything will require less techs.

That’s crazy since the “T” is sending all the OPTs from N.C. & SC back to school for basic installation classes currently! Work allocation per Tech in C&E & I&R is being looked at above 3rd levels! So do the math surpluses today cut deeper in 2020!
