60:40 model.. 40% employees and 60% vendors will operate from 2020 once 5g work is done mass layoffs both onshore and offshore.. They are also looking for voluntary retirement option for verizon India.. Please share your thoughts and what you are hearing..

Verizon is not in the driver seat anymore when it comes to 5G. Even if all players in 5G were on a level playing field, it would still be a race to the bottom in profits as pricing plans would be the only option for grabbing customers. The only advantage now is to grab customers quickly at a price point that allows a profit. So, ready or not, 5G is rolling out and just like FIOS, half baked.
They could possibly have 5G turned up nation wide when DSS ( Dynamic Spectrum Sharing) is activated by mid year. But who knows.

It is not even remotely likely 5G will be up by 12/20.
Consider this: it works for sh–, equipment problems galore, and a sudden change in plans at this date.
In fact, there is little to no chance it will be up by 2023. But let’s say it’s up by 2023. What the demand for it? Very little. Just isn’t as useful as they would like you to believe. It’s a yawn as a product. By 2023 5G will have passed like the kidney stone it is.

Layoffs are a normal thing within a capitalistic system. Right or wrong, it is what it is. Save money while you work, live within your means and take the retirement package when its offered. I am 1 month away from my 1st year anniversary from the 2019 USA retirement offering and it was the best thing I did in a long time.
