JD bailed when he was informed that Stankface is the Anointed One.
Don't kid yourself about what's coming in 2021.
I wonder if him and Stankey have to double up in a Motel 6 room at Pebble Beach? You know, to keep expense down.
He’s waiting for his $200 million dollar retirement package and wants to attend the Masters and Olympics at the company’s expense!!
one of the worst ceos of all time. what a mo–n, makes you wonder why you werent more successful in this life
Tech M will ceo between hookah breaks.
I was watching the movie Valkyrie. Hopefully many of you have seen the movie. It chronicles the plot to assassinate Hitler in 1944. There is a line in the movie that I think sums up the leadership here. One of the officers involved in the plot states that they should only move forward with the effort if they can get both Hitler and Himmler. And I quote, “why replace a madman only to have a lunatic take over”
For those of you wishing Randall farewell, just remember that the lunatic, John Stankey, will be taking over. If you think things are bad now, just wait until that pompous, arrogant, bald headed id–t takes the top spot.
"Stephenson said on "Squawk Box" from the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament in California."
Att has money for him to spend time at Pebble Beach lol. Oh wait he is selling to customers he wants the gang at Pebble Beach. So it is all work - cough cough
“ I hope they appoint somebody who has vision and experience with cutting edge technology instead of some accountant. Accountants never make good CEOs ever!”
Stanky is going to be the anointed one.
Why don't you just go ahead and pack your bags and leave now Randall you boob. No one really wants you around anyway at this point. And we guarantee we won't miss you when you're gone!
I hope they appoint somebody who has vision and experience with cutting edge technology instead of some accountant. Accountants never make good CEOs ever!
It really doesn't matter if he stays or goes. If he stays employees will pay for his decisions. If he goes employees will pay to correct his decisions.
Actually, I STRONGLY disagree with your assessment of Mr. Amstrong.
He had the correct strategy. Wireless and Cable. He bought up McCaw and all those cable properties.
But he got fed up with a useless board of mis-directors. Just like the board of mis-directors we have now.
First, he got burned by Bernie Ebbers and his World-Con. May he burn in hell!
The the Board "fired" Mr. Armstrong and they sold McCaw for pennies on the $ to (drum roll) SBC! The cable assets were sold for pennies on the $ to Comcast.
The board of misfits could not understand how Wold-con was making so much money compared to T. Gee - cooking the books makes you look wonderful!
After that, yes, T was headed towards bankrupcy just like now. Mr. Armstrong was an excellent leader, but the board of director were dolts!
There's an old saying, better the devil you know than the devil you don't know. I remember Legacy T shopping around for a CEO, and brought in C. Michael Armstrong, who was everything anyone wanted in a CEO, fat, tall and bald. And he proceeded to run Legacy T into the dirt.
From a job security point of view, I doubt people will do better with an Elliott/Blackrock sponsored CEO.
Go Randy!
We can only hope that this is the last year for him. The only way we can start to heal is to stop the bleeding.
