I am not in any of the cities listed for expansion or maintenance. My city has a call center and a dwindling number of downtown staffers, wealth management has left the building. I am remote but I commute to my cube.
So according to the latest town hall, I am safe where I am because I occupy expensive office space? Or do I go back to being officially remote without office space when this city shuts down altogether? Or does my location put me in the layoff bucket?
Can anyone shed any light? My manager says don't worry but he won't say I'm safe. You would think he would tell me to start packing if I needed to relocate. It makes no sense to me.
I don't want to move to Minneapolis, but if it's Minneapolis or nothing, I want to have the option.
