They also said the merger would not lead to many layoffs. well guess what we found out the plan all along was to intentionally lose tv subscribers and use that as an excuse to lay off everyone that was near the pension in order to help wipe the debt off the books. Randy did not just ruin the company intentionally, he ruined people. He can take all his cash and shove it up his a– for all i care.

Netflix didn't deceive congress for political favors or to gain approval to take over another company through a series of lies and misrepresentations. It doesn't matter if you like or dislike the management, the facts suggests AT&T has a track record of lies and dishonesty when trying to get something from the government or its employees.
Not sure in this case how it is any different than other streaming services are doing. Netflix has a ton of original shows that are not available on other services. I don't think there was as much of that two years ago as there is today. Markets change and you have to react, if you are an employee and hate the management so much then you should see if another company might want to pay you a salary. I am not saying they do everything right but some of you seem to have very strong feelings about how terrible they are, I doubt any of you could manage a company successfully that was 20% the size and complexity of at&t so instead of sitting on your couch in complaining do something about it. Try to fix it or go someplace where the grass is greener and you will be happy...
That is far from the first lie that Randy and John and the rest of the a***oles in the C-Suite have told. They are corrupt and useless and have ruined the company!
Yes this was an interesting read...using their own words from the very recent past...which clearly and completely contradict everything they are doing now. And these guys wonder why people view them as untrustworthy and shady.
So, to recuperate that Quarterly? 1.2B , we need 20million new HBO Max subscribers. Wouldn't it make more sense to do It gradually after HBO Max rolls out and have that 1.2B for employee retention delaying or increasing surplus payouts/Increase MVO payouts/100% Bonuses/HBO Max marketing/speedup HBO roll out deployment, etc...
great article - only randy and stankey can pull this stuff. no way i am buying anything hbo. they can keep all their "exclusive" content if their streaming service ever gets going and they stop fumbling around with it.
