Isn’t it amazing. AT&T tells the stockholders that they met or surpassed all goals So if the met (100%) or surpassed all goals (greater than 100%) bonuses are only 88%. This must be the new math I keep hearing about. Can’t wait to see what Randall is taking on the way out the door

Can’t speak for all of ATO but Central North 88%. Same as last year.

Glad I left I am getting 117% bonus this year. Nice to be with a company that respects customers and tells them the truth.

Again, let Jim Rohn and I remind you that you are paid based on your value in the marketplace.

I am not going to be happy about my bonus simply because we got one, especially after Randall flat out lied and said we met or exceeded all goals! Stop making excuses for these a–holes!

It's interesting their bonuses are 3-4 times their salary where everyone else is around 10 percent.

I can’t wait and see the Proxy to see they payout of senior officers, not to mention the money Blaise walked away with!! My prediction is that Randall will get $29 million while Stankey will be over $17 million!!

Remember the year we all got boned on our bonus because of the failed acquisition of T-Mobile? I know people at that company that cashed in on big retention bonuses that year.

And now we are getting shafted because of our high debt ratios. There’s nothing worse than being held accountable for things you had no authority to do correctly.

Well said about the PAC, United Way, and diversity volunteering. I don’t contribute to any through work.

There’s no way I will contribute to any PAC that gives this company more political power to lobby against our jobs. It’s s–c-de to line the pockets of the politicians just to bring in more H-1b’s to steal our jobs.

And I quit giving to the annual United Way shakedown several years ago. I still donate to the same organizations privately, however. But there is no way I want to give the company extra muscle to leverage for their political whims, or to have bragging rights of corporate generosity. I believe giving to charity is to be done for various heartfelt reasons. But adding to a pool of money the company measures and leverages seems like a much less humble way of giving. Maybe it’s just me.

And when it comes to “diversity volunteerism”, the company better clean up its own back yard before Asking us to participate. Our workplace is far from diverse when it looks absolutely nothing like the actual makeup of society. In my office, it is all people of child bearing age from a single country. The dictionary definition of diversity is far different that how the company (and much of our “modern” society) defines it.

I might be the only one that feels this way, but while more would be nice 88% is better than ZERO, we are laying off people and letting good folks go and people are complaining about 88%. My wife works for a good company and they have frozen bonus and raise for 2 years. I just feel a bonus is not guaranteed and whatever we get is good, I could be naïve and believe the company, but they could have said 50% or 0, so I will keep being happy with 88%

  • well when management stats are dependent on PAC contributions (our org is “strongly encouraged” by our VP to contribute). Same with the service ambassador program, donations to United Way and now the volunteer hours for diversity - which is separate from the volunteer hours. What other stats are they accountable for? Only had this after the Bell I worked for was acquired.

A quote from the earnings call:

"AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson said on the company’s earnings call Wednesday morning. “That plan was a series of specific steps necessary to exit 2019 on a path of sustained growth…We met or exceeded every single one of those objectives, and the road map is set for the next three years.” "

I guess the objective was less than 88% :/

AT&T got a massive tax cut, had record cash flow, then turns around and stiffs employees. Meanwhile C-Suite management is jet setting to conferences in Switzerland , Sporting events, golf tournaments and will be at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics!

Not to mention employees are expected to pony up for PAC contributions to hand out to politicians!!!

Im an employee and i cant remember....when was the last time we got 100%? Asking cause according to the announcements we keep having our best years ever in the 100+ years of the company.

Is having the best year in the history of the company only worh 88%? Or do these "leaders" s— at internal goals every year since 2012? They do cause i get a monthly update of the new plan....and newer plan...and newest plan...every odd month to revise the bs....but even of the volumes are revised so the svps of the channels get their goals....we still get 88%

Asking as a shareholder and an employee....neither of which anyone cares about.

Yes I’m the one who accused some of being negative nelly. If you got a bonus even if it’s 1 percent be grateful. Some did not get any. Some companies let people go without severance. Be thankful for everything you get even if it’s nothing. Be thankful even if things are tough. You are able to complain. Many people did not make it to 2020. I suspect despite the wealth Kobe Bryant family would rather have him today. Not saying you should shut up but let’s just put things into the proper perspective.

The only reason we received a bonus is that the executives couldn't justify giving themselves fat bonus checks unless they tossed a few coins to us peasants.

I’m surprised they even gave us bonuses and didn’t use the money to pay down the debt. That seems to be #1 priority right now... I’m just wondering how long a company can run like this? If every year we have to lose 4-9% of our workgroups and not receive any backfills, how are we going to retain talent? Especially when the company will not even give someone 100% of their bonus? Most of us are now doing the work of those that left and our own? I don’t want to see this company fail, but I can’t imagine it not without some drastic change in leadership.

Interesting how they spin it to tell Wall St. how great we are doing, and then sing a different song when it comes to the payout. Always looking for a new way to shaft us.

Yea, to the poster the other day who called people negative Nelly‘s and trumpeted the company‘s performance last year, you were wrong then and you’re wrong now. We received less than 100% in our bonus in our area. Guess we didn’t meet or exceed everything last year like the emails said, eh!
