I did result in new jobs. The people laid off were old jobs.
It did create jobs ─ 7000 temporary contract positions to lay fiber. They wound up laying a bit more than required under the Direct TV merger agreement.
They never agreed to stop the reductions in wireline. Those reductions are really dictated by customers abandoning landline telephone.
Oh silly. The COBC only applies to the LITTLE people. Randall the Rodent and Mr. Stanky are so much more important than that!

LOL. AT&T lies to the government all the time, has been doing so for a long time. Promise we'll do x, y, and z if you do this...And then, they don't. It'd like Charlie Brown is the Gov't and AT&T is Lucy holding the football...Over and over and over again.
AT&T did ask for the tax cut. They even asked employees to contribute to a PAC to lobby Washington for the cut.
Yeah, Meh, whatcha gonna do though? It's not as bad you you make it out, its quite complicated, and AT&T didn't invent and ask for the tax cut, they are also doing everything they can to salvage this operation
