Read the fine print. They reserve the right to change the terms anytime. Not worth the headache of dealing with att financially and with their stack of lawyers if they do change the terms.

MTP is a joke in some ways.

  1. Med/Dent Insurance: If you were hired long ago and you call Benefits people who say you will get subsidized med/den then it may be worth it to take the MTP. Remember 1/2 Sev is alot to get subsidized med/dent. Also I don't know if subsidize for retired people is the same amt as for employees (it may be lower $ amt)
  2. Pension: Call Fidelity and they will tell you what they told me. Taking MTP will NOT get you to the full Pension. I got my $270K pension but missed out on another $300K by 1.5yrs.
