I currently work for wells in Boston in compliance and am ready for a new role. All of the risk and compliance wells job postings do not list the Boston location. How can I get another risk or compliance job with Wells if the job posting does not list Boston? Am I out of luck? Are there any hiring managers who are willing to go to bat for an exception? I want to stay with the company, but feel stuck. Help...

Speaking from experience, I was in the same situation just a different city. I was passed over so many times because I wasn’t in the right city. I even had one hiring manager tell me they’d consider me if I agreed to pay to relocate myself. I might have considered except the job was a lateral move. In the end, there were plenty of other local banks looking for good people and I found a great job at a competitor. The best part was not having to deal with endless re-orgs and layoffs.

Lol, given everything you know about WF you might also look outside the company.
You should reach out to the hiring managers if they are listed or just apply and have them decide if they'll let you work remote outside of NC or elsewhere.
