I think so ... cell service has gone downhill in my market. How about yours

TIme to repair suffers greatly.
I can usually get 2 bars if I go upstairs and stand in the corner of my kid's bedroom. Only got 1 bar just now. So, I guess, maybe it's gotten a little worse. Still can't make a call at the office, gotta use the desk phone. That hasn't changed.
As someone familar with Ops, i can tell you that management is no doubt trying to save on callouts and maintenance at the expense of the customer. Not sure if it's related to reduce OT % for bonuses or what is the driving force. Our NOC is holding on outages way too long, we're being told to push outages out for our regular shift and alarms suppressed all to save expense money or whatever other agenda comes along with.
Yeah I have problems with att cel network all the time switching soon
The wireless network is better than ever in terms of performance (I have 25 years in various network roles). That said, losing knowledgeable and high performing folks to both MVO and surplus without replacing them is starting to have an impact in terms of timely execution of projects, which at some point will undoubtedly impact the network. We are just not quite there yet, but it's coming.
AT&T went from third to first place in download speed according OpenSignals recent news release. Wireless must be doing something right. https://www.fiercewireless.com/operators/at-t-overtakes-rivals-for-fastest-download-speeds-opensignal
Having contacts in outage management, it is well known the number of outages and time to resolve them has trended upward as the surplus events continued. In my immediate circle a lot of experienced folks took the MVO. Assuming this is true elsewhere we can expect it to get worse long before it gets better.
yeah I can attest first hand I switch cell providers and I get reception everywhere - it even works in my basement where att did not work at ALL.
lets see if the CFO finally shuts with mouth, Subscriber exodus accelerated in the 4th quarter 2019, how will they spin the news, lol
Been here lonnnnnng, and I dont know about a single project that was ever completed sucesfully, this company success is based on lots of PR, ghost projects, and the FCC giveaways in the billions to AT&T without aNY Accountability
@nag+13aIF6BQ their cloud is not overseas. Their cloud is trash because they surplus workers then bring multiples of incompetent contractors in to pick up that work.
Cloud services can definitely impact cellular service when we have software defined network functions.
Cloud services don’t effect cellular coverage
Smile, wave, and try to run them out of $$$$.
I can tell you that their private cloud is huge pile of dogshit. I used to work on it. Why do you think they are dropping private cloud for all of the internal/business apps and are now using public cloud instead? It was a three year dumpster fire project. I'm shocked that they even still have a project. Why do you think they are paying Mirantis to bail them out?
Definitely BOTH!!
For us installers we seem to have some sort of major outage on a daily basis. Either Atlas won't load or close jobs, set top boxes won't activate, gateway swaps won't go through, line quality tests will be offline, customer history won't load, facility connections won't load, port swap tool just spins, wifi map won't upload, time clock doesn't work, and on and on. It's always something.
Either this is company's cloud based system is the most unreliable, poorly designed system in the world or laying off all our American workers and sending tech support to India and Slovakia is adversely affecting daily operations. Or both.
