Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Covid-19 what?

Welcome to 2020 where enormous changes are coming as a new reality of Covid-19 settles in.
As an account holder I was given notice of what WF was doing in branches to battle the pandemic. They claimed hand sanitizer stations would be put installed in all branches and deep cleanings for sanitization purposes would occur and they have NOT happened. We have NOT been supplied with gloves or masks. They claim to being following CDC and WHO guidelines for preventing the spread however there isn't 6 feet between me and the customer. WHO announced cash can carry the virus for days and should not be used if avoidable so other countries are sanitizing their cash. Cash vaults here have done nothing, ATMs haven't been sanitized internally. No measures have been taken on the service side besides those being done by the team members on their dime. I have been debating on reaching out to the media as anonymous to let the nation know there isn't anything being done.
We lack bandit barriers, we cannot order lysol, we cannot order gloves and we have no way to protect ourselves from the virus. Currently its impossible to find gloves, hand sanitizer, tissues, and bleach in our local stores so I cannot even lysol the cash using my own money.
They have prepared for a whole branch having to quarantine by sending out guides on how to assign keys to the replacement team members.
The service side is the side that handles over 90 percent of the customers that come in the door. They have offered absolutely no support to us. Those high paid personnel that never come in contact with the public are home safe. Meetings are canceled including one big one that was due to happen last week in my branch but it was far less people than the people that come in during business hours.
Grocery stores are requiring their clerks wear gloves and they supply them. Other major banks are supplying gloves to their team members.
I have an 80 year old team member. I have a pregnant team member. I have team member who's mother is battling cancer and they share a home. I have a team member with an autoimmune disease. If those team members catch it they are giving their loved ones (sometimes themselves) a death sentence.
We matter too. We have families.
Soon the public will wear masks and not only is our health on the line so is our physical safety.
Limit customers in branch. Have team members man the doors. All team members should be supplied with gloves, masks, and the ability to segregate cash by what was in your drawer and sanitized already to whatever is taken in.
It's easy. Take the initiative and lead the way to show just how much your team members actually mean to you. Take precautions now instead of it being too late.

WF should only be doing drive through. I just cannot grasp the inane stupidity and disregard for its customer facing employees. At a time when our image is already negative, you would think showing compassion for employees would be a given.

Everyone, please, when sharing important information, please use the "carriage return" key, as it was known back in the typewriter days, or the "Enter" key as it's known now.

This will produce a "line break" and make your message imminently more readable.

My eyeballs hurt from reading this post.

Communications involving the following will be considered an ordinary business matter and will be forwarded to management to research and respond, if appropriate:

Personal or business accounts or transactions, including customer service issues
Resumes or other forms of job inquiries
Requests for information about the Company, including its products and services
Mailings intended to be sent to a large number of recipients, such as form letters, petition letters, and other forms of mass mailings that may involve a reputational risk to the Company
Grant or donation requests
* Employment concerns *
Matters addressing other routine business practices of the Company

@1uck+13ZcRpVj - may worth a shot - but I think this "location strategy" thing falls under employment concerns and may fell upon deaf ears.

@jgb+13ZcRpVj Wells Fargo appears to be 180 degrees opposite from the Trump administration’s incredibly great response to the virus. Trump is all action and has been that way even while you and your ilk were focused on impeaching . Drop the cognitive dissonance disorder and engage with reality.

I sent a letter asking the board of directors to delay this location strategy that affected the phase 1 tech employees and I beg all of you who feel negatively affected by this location strategy to do the same. I don't know what else to do. We spoke with a realtor who said home owners and leasers are not willing to show their properties due to the pandemic. Some realtors are not showing homes at all. Can you blame them? Who wants to open themselves and their homes to strangers and face the possibility of a deadly virus when there are so many unknowns? If I say yes to relo how much time am I realistically going to have to find a new place in a state and city I know nothing about?

At a local branch last week, team members were not wearing masks, but were refraining from handshakes, there was hand sanitizer available, and they reported that a surface sanitization team was wiping everything down a few times a day. I didn't ask about the insides of ATMs. (I wonder whether we will see more people writing checks rather than using cash in coming months.)

I went in because you can't wire greater than $5k online ... such a transaction requires that customers go into a physical branch. (That restriction should be lifted, to reduce the need for customers to go in.)

Unfortunately this board doesn’t give two sh–s about retail employees because a majority are cushy back office IT jobs that don’t have to deal with the disgusting disease carrying public.

So sorry but with WF I am not surprised. On getting your own supplies,,do you have a grocery store where you can order and pick up? That is how I am getting TP and other supplies. In the stores it is madness and I am grateful they still have the items in fulfillment. Not sure where you are but here in the midwest, HyVee is who I did that with. Stay safe.

I would definitely consider reaching out at the local level. Wells Fargo similar to this administration is all talk and no execution. My immediate thought when this virus became a pandemic was our branch team members. They are literally at the front line and have the highest exposure yet they are essentially being told business as usual. All across the enterprise wells is prioritizing business continuity over team member safety and it is alarming.
Team members who have the ability to work from home are being split into teams to alternate their work from home privileges. It’s either the bank doesn’t understand or simply doesn’t care that this virus has a incubation period of up to 10 days so customers or team members without symptoms can still be carrying and spreading the virus.

In 2016 wells alienated their customers now in 2020 it seems as though they’re working to alienate their employees.
