Stay strong. Hopefully you have not made a decision yet. At the rate this coronavirus pandemic is rolling across the USA, companies are actually telling people to work from home. They have no choice actually. (Customer facing roles will be more challenging.)
When this pandemic is over (no ones knows when), telecommuting will be a trend that most companies will follow. It makes a company stronger because sick people won't infect their teammates. Companies that do not adopt to that will be severely affected at its detriment.
So, the point here is the ~660 of you need to send a strong message to Saul by refusing to move. I know this will be difficult. But think about this - do you want to move to a strange town with no guarantee to continued employment (even for a short period) PLUS having to go into the office so you may get sick too? May be it is better to take a chance to find new work with a company that supports telecommuting PLUS you get to stay in a town that you know? Along with your buddies in the same town?
So, unless Saul and Charlie are trying to run Wells Fargo into the ground or may be even through it - they will have to eventually wake up. Have the absolute majority of the 660 telling them "no way" will make them re-evaluate this location "strategy" (if it can be called one at all) quickly.
