Give notice now, I did, take your skills elsewhere, Kroger's, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart (never thought I'd say that) and others are hiring, move on and leave BP/Cabela's behind. Once you give notice stop selling the Club Card and complain directly to your local health department whenever you see customers and employees not maintaining social distances, surfaces, especially guns, not being wiped down and disinfected, tell the health department how bored, tired kicking customers with kids are just roaming the store (because it is open) and spreading C-19. You have a voice, use it.

Or stay, and maybe die. I bet Johnny, when this is over, will blow his boat horn in salute to all the dead BP-Cabela's employees while he is cracking open a bottle of champagne.

It would be different if the customers that entered the building was only there to purchase ESSENTIAL products. You know the firearms, the ammunition, the freeze dried food but no they’ve are purchasing ANYTHING they want. But most customers are tired of being in their homes and tired of being teachers. Cities have closed parks and recreational areas so let’s take them to Cabela’s. If only they knew. Stores are not cleaned like they say. What employees that are there are tired, exhausted.

And what do the managers say, take care of the customer! Get the club card. And by the way? You’ve been working your a– off and have stuck it out but on the new schedule we had to cut your hours, so now you get no hours or 10 for the whole week. Thanks a lot Johnny Morris, you really, really S—!!

wow, cant believe that they continue to stay open!!!! Total disregard for their employees health. I don,t know how these managers look their staff in the face every day!!! Absolutely terrible ethics!!! The sun department is a lease and they packed their merchandise up and closed to protect their employees. Learn from a company that obviously values there employees.

Bro the Cabelas I work at is terrible. The mayor literally told them that they can only sell firearms, knives, etc and they went against orders and opened the whole store!! And we are one of the few places open. So it was nice working for the company If I get the virus. Oh did I mentioned were a hot spot for the virus lol

Quit whining about getting paid extra at BPS. They don't pay anything to being with. Go home and complain to your local mayor or the governor. You're expendable which is why they do not pay.
The managers ar as weak as the leads. By the way. If the store is open then the managers (can't use the term leaders as there are none) should be there setting the example. Yeah right!!!

Keep calling your local health department and report every concern that you have. Short your SDISP ORDERS AND BOSS ORDERS. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself to your supervisors and GM. Document every response. I'm in this with you. I work at Basspro. There are many loopholes that are allowing them to be deemed essential. The call off policy right now is allowing us to call off and not get the points. Use it to your advantage. I understand that you may have to take it without pay, but even taking 1 or 2 days off can help your mental health and stress levels improve. We are in this TOGETHER and we will get through this TOGETHER. I have always been told by Basspro we are family but its not basecamp or our management staff that makes us family. Its our coworkers because we are in this together. God Bless all of us Be Strong and Stay Healthy.

Johnny Morris let's see you spend 8 hours working in your store during this dreadful time.
YOU won't but you expect your employees to risk getting sick.

Savannah, GA was ordered to close by the city and the GM ordered everyone to stay. Not letting anyone go home even though they are closed for business and actively fighting the city to overturn it because they are "necessary and essential"

OHIO- Cincinnati Bass Pro/Cabela's employees, please contact your mayor's and governor's office. It is a misdemeanor for us to ignore this shut down order. We do not fit the 'essential' description in any way, shape or form.

“Mission Essential” Yea ok
Bass Pro Shops in Cincinnati
needs to fire all The Leads and Managers. They are pathetic!!
Not one lead has a back bone
to stand up for for their employees that have been nothing but faithful
to them. These Leads have NEVER
fought for their employees.
This Store is old, filthy dirty and disgusting. Before this virus they never ever provided ANY hand sanitizer. You were forced to bring in your own. Employees are pressured and fear of losing their position or job if they stay home. Over half the store has underlying health conditions. Do they care? HELL NO!!
Johnny Morris is a Selfish b–tard
He will lie and tell inspectors they are open to sell Dry Food??? WTF are you kidding.. You are open to sell firearms without background checks mind you to ANYONE at a time of crisis in the world... for any dumb a– off the street. Smart?? I think not
I Pray that no one that works in that
store at Forrest Park becomes deathly ill with this deadly disease. If you are an employee STAY HOME like your Governor Ordered. Respect yourself and your family and yourself.
Mr Morris is are sick, sad, selfish
pathetic!!!! You are a low life.
KARMA Johnny Boy KARMA!!!!!
Bass Pro CLOSE Your Doors NOW!! You are k–ling people...Visitors, Guest, Employee's and Families
Sad So Sad..... I nor anyone in my family will ever shop at this location
Or any locations that

Tell me why if you are a concerned team member and stop going in to work, and use all of your sick and vacation pay, you will not qualify for the two weeks pay if your store is close down?

I was terminated after putting in a month notice. There was promise of them letting me finish out till my end date. Other co workers of mine were terminated or furloughed. They were told they had to use their sick time or vacation time and then would be able to use the covid pay. I called cooperate and was told all they could offer me was and I’m sorry and that because the situation was so rapidly developing they did not have time to prepare. My store had kept us in the dark for weeks when we all asked what was going on.

So now, since firearms and ammunition sales have plummeted, HR departments are calling employees to tell them they are laying them off. Sales are down, but customers are still entering the stores to buy “ESSENTIAL “ products: toys, ball caps,
t-shirts. Now don’t we all agree, you can’t survive without that merchandise. Johnny Morris is so concerned, he’s sitting at home counting his money. This man has not one concern for any employee, you are all replaceable! Managers hide in their office away from customers. And the only thing to help you clean your area is all homemade. Store managers REFUSED to purchase anything and you were told, if you want that then you buy it! I pray everyone boycotts the businesses owned by Johnny Morris.

San Antonio location now back open after 2 days of being closed. The cases of covid19 are increasing here and I dont accept that we're deemed "essential". If ready to eat meals and fishing equipment is essential then why isn't REI or d–ks sporting goods back open? Its b—s— and those of us with morals know that this isn't right. I shouldn't have to put myself and others at risk during a f_cking pandemic. This company is truly showing its ugly colors and the fallout from this will be GREAT. -|–|–|-

Cabela’s and Bass Pro’s in Tx are reopening because our AG said gun sales are essential. So since the only thing we sell that’s essential is firearms and the only place people get to pay for firearms is at the gun counter... I don’t have to show up right? That’s what I’m going with anyway.

Lots of opinions most of them true. When this over let’s see where customers and outfitters stand. All family member's, friends and neighbors have to be disgusted and like they say all it takes is one tell another those increase by 100’s They didn’t follow any guidelines but fought to be essential during these tough times. Now governors who got envolved are sending the healthy departments to check for compliance. But they will continue to stay open until forced We all should be looking for a better employer when this gets over. I’m sure many people have passed to others. Three weeks ago we were having anywhere from 800 to over a thousand people in a day. Spreading it before we even knew how bad. Travelers and businesses with folks coming in with visiting families. It’s a shame to see such a great beginning fall into such disgrace

This is insane what delusional people to say that this store is essential. So embarrassing, and people are still even bringing their kids into look at the fish. Breeding ground for bored people to go out and buy nothing essential. How the hell did marine repair make it as an essential service. Recreational fishing is not essential. If I hear another fisherman say fishing is social distancing I'm gonna lose my mind, like gtfo store then you're not fishing you're shopping for useless sh*t.

I just got furloughed two days ago, along with another 3 Tracker employees. I’ll be paid for two weeks but should this last longer I’ll need to apply for unemployment. Still have my job, but hoping it’s not more than two weeks! I feel much relief to get to stay home, though. I have two kids and my husband that are happy I’m finally not going to work! Our county now has about 7 cases, all but one are travel related. Not sure how number 7 got it, possibly first who got it from public transmission. Apparently my store is still open too!

The county health department came today (in Ohio) and left, all I know of the visit is the MOD was frantically typing up a letter he had to get back to the health department justifying why we should stay open, fingers crossed, maybe the health department will see through the the "essential" nonsense and force the store closed.

I can’t be certain but from what I know, you should still get the paid two weeks since it was your scheduled two days off. If you asked for time off because of the pandemic, then no you wouldn’t get it.

Help me understand how corporate lives matter, as they've been permitted to acknowledge the risk and shut down; but your outfitters lives are meaningless? Hey Mr. Morris... grocery stores are giving their employees a $2.00 an hour raise until May. What are you doing for your employees that put themselves at risk to line your pockets???

Yes. We were told that too. We limited our hours 10 to 5. Some one must have been calling the health department because they have been coming in the store frequently and then the GM freaks out and makes changes.

Heard from someone who works at the San Antonio location that they are doing ISP orders only and furloughed all but 20 something employees. To the person about layoffs, from a reliable source the only layoffs will be temporary only during mandatory closures. But that’s for outfitters. Sales I could imagine because who’s going to be buying a boat right now but as far as anyone in a regular outfitter position? Your spot should be 100% secured. Then again wouldn’t be the first time bass pro lied. I just got promoted to full time two weeks ago. Hope I’m not on the chopping block. Fingers crossed and prayers to all of you and your families during this time

MEMO TO: All Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Big Cedar Lodge and White River Marine Group
outfitters and team members
FROM: Gary Ehlers, Vice President of Human Resources
DATE: March 16, 2020
SUBJECT: New COVID-19 policy to support the health of our team members and
outfitters
As we have shared, we are steadfast in our commitment to the health and safety of our people and
our customers. Over the last few weeks, the leadership team, led by Johnny, has been intensely
engaged on issues related to the coronavirus issue. This past week, he created a special working
team to spearhead critical company decision making regarding the virus. That team is carefully
listening to your comments and suggestions and we encourage you to continue to share your
thoughts.
The purpose of this note is to update you on a new, temporary COVID-19 emergency leave policy
that we’ve decided to implement immediately. We have identified four potential scenarios that may
apply during the outbreak, and we have an adjusted policy for each as outlined below.

  1. Concerned team member

We understand many of you may be personally concerned about the risk of potential
exposure, particularly if you are an older adult or if you have a serious chronic medical
conditions, whom the CDC has identified as among the most vulnerable. If you determine you
are unable to work or if other circumstances prevent you from working due to the virus, you
can choose to stay home. To support you making this personal choice, call in to your
immediate supervisor or HR rep. and we will waive our attendance policy. In order to be paid
for this time, you may use your regular paid time off options. If you feel the need to extend
beyond your paid options, you can take additional unpaid time off, but please call in as usual
to let us know.

  1. Sick with flu-like symptoms

If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, contact your immediate supervisor or HR rep by
phone. Do not come to work until you are well. As with above, we will waive our attendance
policy. You may request available sick leave or vacation time. If your physician determines
you need to be tested, we will offer you up to five days of additional paid time off as long as
you call in to your supervisor or HR rep as usual and provide confirmation from your
physician.

  1. Diagnosed with COVID-19

If you have been officially diagnosed with COVID-19, or exposed to someone who has been
officially diagnosed with COVID-19, contact your immediate supervisor or HR rep by phone.
You will be fully paid for up to two weeks while in quarantine. Any care required after two
weeks would qualify for short-term disability pay for those who opted in to our insurance
plan. If you require additional care after two weeks, contact your HR representative as plans
may change based on pending legislation.

  1. Mandatory closure

If it becomes necessary to close your work location due to the virus, do not come to work. You
will receive up to two weeks of pay. Part-time outfitters and team members will be paid based
on average hours per week. We’ve chosen two weeks because it matches the recommended
time for quarantines related to this virus. Should the closure extend beyond two weeks, we
will review options based on the latest guidance and information.
Please contact your HR rep or the HR Support Center with any questions:

Thank you again for all that you are doing to help support our customers during this difficult
challenge. All across the country, as government offices, schools and businesses of all kinds are
being scaled back or temporarily shut down, many of our customers are turning to the outdoors as
a source of relief and inspiration. These customers are relying on us to help them get the goods and
supplies they need in the toughest of circumstances. Your dedication during this time is an
inspiration to all of us.
Going forward, we will continue to update you on key developments with our business and further

Southeast CMM again, I was right. Orders are to stay open by any means necessary until absolutely forced to close. We have deemed ourselves Necessary and Essential because we sell Firearms and Ammo, Camping supplies, Water purification, and Food. They're acting more like this is a hurricane than a pandemic. I mean from a strictly business standpoint I get it. They're making a buck, but I wonder how bad this has damaged Johnny Morris and Bass Pro's reputation and image. I know of a lot of disgruntled employees. Your leads and managers might not be expressing their frustration as vocally but trust me there is a lot of talk right now about the direction this company is headed.

Wtf Tampa Bass Pro just because you get your water from the county doesn’t mean your not in Tampa. Last time I checked your address did state you are located in Tampa. Any excuse to stay open and sell more guns and ammo. I’m sure you have plenty now that you’ve sent associates to the closed Gainesville store to pillage whatever they have left. Wake up!!! You are putting your so called best outfitters in retail at risk and don’t give a f—k.
