The competent must be purged so that Stank has no rivals for the crown. Of course with Stank and Randall the Vandal calling the shots the wearer of the crown will preside over a pile of worthless garbage. Good going guys, you've earned every penny of your obscene pay.

Long story short: Lesser got butthurt. Stank isn't about to hand WM to somebody who might gun for his job in the near future. Can't have people with ambitions in this company unless you're in Blackjack Randall's or John Stank's circle of trust
