Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Working at AT&T is bad for your health “ AT&T Hates It’s Employees”

Hopefully this next surplus I can finally find peace. Never before would I have ever imagined I would be looking forward to a lay-off. This Mickey Mouse company has provided me with a lot through the years but with all the good comes more bad. I’ve seen them fire Air Force Reservists because they “ spent too much time fulfilling their duties” I’ve seen friend survive surpluses only to die from stress within 6 months of leaving. I’ve missed more birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and family functions than I can count. Those you cannot make up in life. I’ve lost friends due to the in human amount of off hours scheduling only to have the company say now that commitments really don’t matter now. I’ve had health effects from the stress. All for why? These people are going to use you for what your worth and then discard you just like a piece of garbage. With the COO statement which was made here a mere few weeks ago about feeding too many mouths I cannot continue to support this company any longer. You have repeatedly shown zero respect for the people that actually do the work that makes the company what it is. The last straw here is the American Flag. Corporate leadership now regards this as an international company and will remove any images of the American Flag from any photos or videos. Have you since forgot what AT&T actually stands for? I’m guessing you never did.

T hates employees and customers that they have to spend money on. Stank and team have no strategy other than cheat you out of what is owed you for both employees and customer. Verizon and T-Mobile are winning. A good STRIKE would expose T to the public!

It isn’t just a matter of “taking better care of your health”. I was in the best shape of my life when the stress just got to be too much for me. I never experienced anything like that in my life and always thought those who talked about it were somehow faking it or even hypochondriacs. In all fairness, if it hadn’t happened to me, I’d probably be one of the people giving that advice too.

The damage caused by this company is very real and can affect you in ways you never even considered.

It’s been great for my health.

Monday - Friday with some OT here and there.

I have a great 401k.
Pretty good medical benefits that took care of me when I was temporarily disabled.
Vision and dental coverage.

This company does hate their employees, but they hate their customers even more.

Truth I hope the college hires read this - the company will throw you away without a second thought. And to those who say take care of your health well you can be the best shape but stress does not look for out of shape people. It can effect the most athletic people it all subjective. The people that run this company are sub-human. So to the college hires run far away from att. I am not just saying that to save my job because I no longer work at att.

Take responsibility for your own health. Exercise and eat healthy. Don't just eat another bag of chips and blame AT&T.

My former group had two people die within a month. And a third became very stressed and ultimately incapacitated for a while. This is a very real problem.

Also be sure to remember to start being politically sensitive to Indian social etiquette. We don't want to offend our replacements, I mean co-workers, after all.
