Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Calling All Whistle Blowers

This should serve as a call to arms for anyone of us in the trenches. If you gave valuable information please think if the greater good and Tucker and at least 4 other technical media outlets would love to hear from you.

@1ecc - agreed. Most of the 1Q19 surplus was geo-rationalization. The ones I knew that were affected then were not in a collaboration zone (Tier 1 location), or was TW (who most likely had been with the company for a long time (age) and/or has medical issues), but that did not happen company wide though, mostly ATO and a few other orgs. The 1Q20 surplus seems to be kind of the opposite as the only ones I know affected are FTO in the Dallas area.

1Q2019 here again. Just wondering how many employees were targeted for age, race, or medical reasons. AT&T was very secretive about that surplus, and every one I know of seemed to be targeted because of medical / FMLA reasons.

I was surplus 1Q2019 and asked to return as a contractor for less than half the pay with the same stress. Needless to say I declined.

Her email is on there somewhere. And she has a Twitter profile with quite a following of those who have gone through this.

They should tour the floor with all the I.T. people from Accenture, Tech M, Amdocs, etc. and ask them where they came from and why they do not mimic the racial population numbers of the American population that the EEOC encourages companies to maintain.

How about information on how they haven’t been updating their pension information and offering lump sums at a very low rate.

If you -REALLY- want to get on the nerves of AT&T, take some journalists on tour of some of the buildings we work in. You know, the ones the company doesn't maintain.
( Which is pretty much any building an executive DOESN'T work in )

Point out the dead roaches on the floors.
Don't mind the smell, it's just the mold . . . .
Cracked walls from water damage, peeling paint, multi-colored water damaged carpet, etc.

The cleaning crew in my previous building shows up once a month to replace toilet paper. They don't sweep, mop or vacuum the floors. Empty cubicles still have debris and trash piled in them from several years ago.

Why ? " It's not in the budget. "

All the while the company is spending $100M on making the headquarters building nice and pretty :|

Maybe we should grab a journalist and an OSHA representative and give them both a tour . . . .

Does she only want information regarding H1B visa use? Or shareholder fraud as well?

Do a search for “Protect US Workers” and you will find her there.

She was the one in the segment on Tucker’s show. She is also the one that called out Disney for their abuse of H-1b.

You can also send the information to Sara Blackwell. She is passionate about this fight and will find a way to use what you’ve got.

I reached out to her and was later anonymously interviewed by a journalist she knows. We can make a difference.
