I believe it is currently being litigated and you’re being very presumptuous to state it has “little merit” if what is being said is true that the company has been using old actuarial tables to calculate pensions amounts. It almost sounds like a slam dunk to me for the plaintiffs
I would think this pertains to both annuity and lump sum since they are supposed to be actuarially equal based on a given set of assumptions. If one option goes up based on a legal ruling so should the other.
Don’t care if it old news. It pertinent to anybody getting a pension buyout. People need to question the buyout amount as att is being criminal and not updating information like they should.
Old new posted many times here. It boils down to law firm ad's. This lawsuit has really gone nowhere and holds little merit. Even if successful won't be any big change for retiree's getting annuity payments, after the lawyers get their 40%.
