If you guys think you're embarrassed now ... wait until you have to start interviewing after being surplussed. I worked in Corp. Communications and have had numerous panel interviews over the last 6 months. The absolute disdain for AT&T comes out even in otherwise professional interview settings. In almost every interview, I have had at least one person relay a poor customer experience story with me. You certainly can't bash your old company in an interview, but I perfected that all-knowing, empathetic, I feel-ya-dog "nod."
I used my AT&T branded shirts to pack my laptop when I had to send it back due to a forced switch to HVD.
Yep no Branded apparel or ID for me after work hours... embarrassing having to explain to people why the company won’t replace 1950 lead cable!
wearing att uniform in public is worse than wearing red MAGA caps
Stopped wearing badges because you were embarrassed at being the old guy responsible for phone line that nobody uses while you were telling people how important your job was.
As craft ...I stopped ordering the free clothes long ago!
You are not, and were never the sharpest knife in the drawer. Wow, hide your badge in case someone at the grocery store. On the off chance they see it in order to avoid questions that only exist in your overhyped head of imaginary things that don't exist and no one cares.
I never wear my badge at work or outside of work. I only get it out when I need to buzz into a building. I stopped telling people that I work at AT&T a long time ago. I know how terrible the my are, and I don’t need the general public reminding me of it while I’m in the field.
Oh look an asset management person protecting the brand.
I wear my badge when I travel or need to in order to get in and out of Corporate offices. As for being proud I 100% am proud and wear my ATT shirts and my team shirts out all the time. I love Who I work with and I am proud to stand by their work and mine!
I will never wear it it public or make referrals. I had to pay my family’s because the sales team screwed over my family.
@umk+13LlISFK, our U-verse bills have been wrong every month since I was outsourced to IBM.
I knew it was time for me to leave the company when I started hiding my badge. I was embarrassed to admit I worked for AT&T. I was very good to them and AT&T compensated me well.
Yeah and I’ve stopped all that Service Ambassador stuff too!
oh yeah badge goes in backpack before I am out the building. I don't want to be associated with their billing practices.
