Companies like AT&T have enjoyed a mostly frictionless relationship with their creditors for much of the past decade, in part because global central bank support has left the world awash in negative yielding assets. But this week that relationship has gotten rockier.

Lemme see, AT&T as of last earnings report was paying a dividend, paying down debt, and buying back shares. Meanwhile, the Fed is poised to lower interest rates, so carrying debt will be easier. I don't see anything at present that jeopardizes that.
Now, on the other hand, debt owed by shale oil producers in the face of an oil price collapse ...
