No one knows at this point how extensively Coronavirus will spread in the United States. Currently, at least 11 states have confirmed or suspected cases of the virus. In California, 8400 people are being monitored for Coronavirus. One CDC estimate is that over 50% of the global population will eventually contract the virus with over a 2% death rate.
Does AT&T have any plans for dealing with the possibility of a full blown epidemic? Do we have any intention of procuring protective equipment for our employees? Will we institute a quarantine of our workers or continue to look for any opportunity to discipline those that don't show up for work when sick?
With this company's track record of always being REACTIVE to events and never PROACTIVE, with its history of spending as little money on its employees as possible, with its history of putting discipline and profits before employee welfare, it would be naive to be optimistic.
Stay safe AT&T workers!
