Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Corporate re-organization down sizing???

JS has mentioned a reorg/downsizing at Corporate. Any updates or rumors as to the extent.

I've heard third-hand market research, competitive analysis, pricing, and financial analysis are on the block but the source is pretty sketchy.

The AVPs, VPs, SVPs snd EVPs will be making more than ever while layoffs will accelerate in the lower ranks! When the bonuses come out next week look for new influx of BMWs, Range Rovers and Mercedes in the executive garages!!

Even when I worked for a major defense contractor we never had this many layoffs. This is absolutely ridiculous. Whenever a company has to lay off any workers, senior management has failed miserably. They have failed in predicting market conditions, industry conditions, technology, product demand, product pricing, etc. Overall they have FAILED. Look at the failure known as the T-Mobil merger. Billions of dollars wasted. Yet Randall has that same smart a$$ smirk on his face. He knows he paid way too much for DTV and TW but knows he and the rest of the boys will leave the company in shambles and still get their golden parachutes and screw the rest of us.

we won't know until the 2nd quarter, when HBO Max numbers aren factored in. if it's a flop , as many analysts expect then you can expect a bunch of cuts all over the place , particularly around the media divisions
