Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Phase two will move forward

They are moving forward with phase 2. If you remember in December Saul said his biggest regret in 2019 was announcing the relocation strategy without having enough data. He isn’t going to make that mistake twice, so he isn’t announcing anything. Next phase is your technology group will pick 5-6 locations plus India. If you aren’t in this 5-6 locations your job will be relocated. Find out where your group plans to realign. That is phase 2.

Of course the older, 7 year now internal employee will not count on staying at Wells Fargo until death do us part. Do have the resume updated. Will not really have to still work after 66, with social security and a pension from a former company, but will still want to work.

Still the same but with so much more technical and business knowledge than I had as a kid. I could not do the job I have now at Wells Fargo when I was so much younger, did not have the required skills and job experience yet.

We shall see how things go there in the future. It is a good opportunity to work at Wells Fargo.

I have been a contractor at Wachovia that became Wells Fargo. My logon ID is still a legacy Wachovia ID. Then I was hired as a full time, internal Wells Fargo employee. I have been an internal employee for almost 7 years now. My job does not seem to be going away, but I know there are many others who would like to have it. But I like my job at Wells Fargo. I do my best each day to ensure the company is successful due to my work efforts there. I am getting older now. Not a kid anymore. I plan to stay there until I am like 70, 72 at which point I guess I should think about retiring. But we shall see. Maybe stay there as an internal employee until death do us. Unless they want to hire someone else and have to totally train them to replace me and my skills there, that would take a very long time I think.

My senior manager has talked on calls about the 5-6 locations they expect to see their org. There are 25 locations, but your org will not span in those 25, they will only be located in 5-6 places.

How do you propose finding out where your group plans to realign when no managers or above will give a straight answer?
