Hey! Des Moines is cool! You have to go work in what we call the “Death Star”, but all the desks are adjustable…

They mention absolutely nothing internally (in writing) about core locations, which is why employees are forced to search online. So much for hiring within... no chance of promotion if you're not in a hub location and are not willing to move to a place as exciting as Des Moines, IA (and others).

Technology is in these 25 locations but all the organizations will not be spread across 25 states. Ask your senior managers in your next all hands or ask on Sauls “ask me anything.” Each organization will pick 5-6 locations to be agile in together. Many managers have said this. You just need to ask to get the confirmation you want.

To all y'all that replied with the standard expansion and maintenance locations - that is not what is being asked here and other places on this site.

Someone(s) keeps mentioning technology will be cut down to 5 –FIVE— HUB cities. That is different than this list.

If this 5 hub city thing is just a rumor - fine, but some other posts on this site pretend to have some inside knowledge that we will be cut back to even less cities within the year, certainly within 2 years, 5 hub cities.

Who can confirm or refute that information?
Thanks

Markest targeted for expansion:
San Francisco
Phoenix
Dallas
Des Moines
Minneapolis
St. Louis
Chicago
New York Metro
Boston
Philadelphia
Raleigh

Markets Approved for Replacements Only:
Portland
Los Angeles
Salt Lake City
Denver
San Antonio
Washington, DC
Richmond
Winston-Salem
Charlotte
Atlanta

This has been covered over and over for the last month or two, which shows how bad Wells is at communication with their employees.

People need to go to the internets to find information about their jobs.

  • Hub plan

For those that don't have the hub plans, look at the new language on job postings.

Below is excerpt from a West Coast posting (you can clearly figure out the hubs by reading this and other job postings – they ARE using "hub" language now) I was told TX and AZ are ultimate hubs (e.g., Concord, CA will be phased out):

"The preferred location for this position is Irving, TX. Other locations that may be considered are Chandler, AZ; Concord, CA and other Wells Fargo hub locations."
