Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Did JS use the phase "We're feeding too many mouths" at the Townhall?

Please correct me if I have the wording wrong.

Too many mouths? Fine offer a good buyout and many of us will take the money and go home.

I know of 2 big fat hungry mouths to feed at the AT&T pig trough that could be let go - this disgusting pig and his boss The Rat. Removing these useless eaters from the company payroll would save shareholders a fortune.

All you have to do is read the first paragraph of this article and see how far removed he is from his employees (and our leadership encouraged us to read this too when it came out Friday! What??):

How AT&T Is Transforming Itself for a Future of 5G and Streaming

https://dailyinvestorinsights.net/how-att-is-transforming-itself-for-a-future-of-5g-and-streaming/

“AT&T’s John Stankey is sitting on the couch in his stunning corner office on the 46th floor of a new tower in Manhattan’s trendy Hudson Yards complex, high above the far West Side. The space has a spectacular view of the Hudson River and the New Jersey river towns beyond. The odor of fresh carpeting hangs in the air. Stankey, arms stretched over the back of the couch, appears remarkably, almost unreasonably, composed.“

Yes, he in fact did say that. It is this, as well as many other statements JS has been recorded as saying that makes me hate my own once beloved company , and why I'm going to retire before he takes full control from RS.

You have too many executives flying around on company jets, getting their cars paid by the company, using company funds to support their questionable activity and making poor decisions!!!

At first I thought someone invited a janitor or auto mechanic the way he was dressed. He is low class!! We are paying incompetent leaders like him when they should be fired

What he really wanted to say is "too many underperforming employees to feed."

There was an old man who worked at AT&T.
He had so many employees, he didn't know what to do.
He gave them some broth without any bread;
Then whipped them all soundly and put them to bed.

I heard that but I don't think he realized he said it ... "too many mouths to feed".

But he stopped short of saying we have too many over paid, ignorant executives to pay.

Probably. At The HBO Town Hall he told them they had been doing it all wrong. Told them less quality and more quantity. Translation to everyone else but him and his minions....we are going to commoditize HBO and destroy it.
