Lets be honest , our union told us to vote yes one week after we voted as a group to vote no.Why did the union tell us to vote yes one week after we smartly voted no ? Because Randall gave the union F,s 3 more paid days off for union " activities " !!!

Fast fact: @1zqh - as a 41yr Outside Tech, the Company initially brought up the intent to eliminate All outside field positions back in 1984. They envisioned having small skeleton crews to handle hot jobs and callouts but the majority of scheduled work would be handled by Contractors. That goal is closer to reality today. Back in the early 80’s we walked out for 3 weeks where one of the issues was over the Company use of Contractors. We didn’t win that issue because CWA said it only affected a small group of outside people and not the majority, so they allowed it to settle and go back to work. As Outside Techs we were angry yet our Union Leadership felt it was best overall. That opened the door for all the outsourcing seen today.
Under the atmosphere and circumstances of today’s environment, any walkout would be met with permanent replacements. They have wanted to have a 100% contract work force since the internal memo from 2003. A strike gives them that excuse. The union’s only purpose today is to slow the inevitable. There will never be a CWA contract going forward that improves over the previous contract.
If mobility went on strike the wireless techs and all the retail store would’ve where you would notice it. All the centers would just have vendors pick up the calls.
Workers always talk strike. Do it.
Who cares, the unions are nothing toothless paper tigers who p–p where they sleep, anything they say or do is completely inconsequential

I’m in southeast and went on strike last year. I was amazed how quickly att came to the table. Strike was over in a few days. I was actually disappointed I had to go back to work so soon because I needed the break and was happy and prepared to go without pay for two months. Been saving for a strike. Anyway , it was pretty much a mess for the company. Many managers that were supposed to pick up the slack found ways to get out of it and many that did show up, didn’t really try. Most of the managers secretly supported our strike and they weren’t about to k–l themselves for the company. Most managers are good folks and have us technicians’s back. Many used to be techs themselves so they get it. And the managers that were never techs had no interest in learning how to do it. The company is really not prepared for these strikes like they like to pretend.
Management employees( my son is one) barely understand how field works though he gets trained every year.
South East had the strike last year and that did not fare well
They have never been on strike, and don't look for it now. Region 6 Mobility seems to be a bit easier to get along with. These strike votes are just formality when contract is nearing expiration without extension.

Doesn't this happen everytime the contract is up for renewal? SAME as last time, no strike and union leadership sells out the rank and file, but go ahead and make fun of "managers".
Should strike and stay out- Field Managers can barely do their own jobs, much less any added duties.
