Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Stankey surprised at TMUS and Sprint merger

They are going to pound ATT customers with offers to switch like Battleships shelling a beach. ATT has ignored the network for their frolicing in content and it shows.

I switched to T-Mobile 8 years ago because of AT&T poor customer service, higher price even with employee discount and tired of that furry faced CFO badgering everyone not to pay your AT&T bill with a credit card to save AT&T money. Very happy with T-Mobile customer service, price, and benefits. 4 phones unlimited call, SMS and data for $100/mo grandfathered in.

@1bzh+13BPbKdx Not to mention some of the wireless carriers have been partnering with fiber providers to reach MORE customers. Att has chosen their own silo and not sure how they are going to get out of it because the won't partner with anyone and not really sure anybody wants to partner with them at least I wouldn't if I was another company.

"ATT has ignored the network for their frolicing in content and it shows."

You now have a competitor that has deployed 600 5G, with better coverage than any carrier, now combined with Sprints 2.5 spectrum, will offer customers gigabit over the air speeds, and they will delivery that in less than 18 months with a simple carrier overlay of their existing sites. Very inexpensive option to millimeter-wave alternatives, and fast deployment, also offer some penetration into existing structures. Checkmate.

The C-Suite live in their own tower completely isolated from the rest of the world and clueless of what is actually going on with their customers, their competition, or even their employees. These arrogant fools are surrounded by brown nosing yes men who constantly reaffirm to them just how exceptionally brilliant they are.

As a result, Randall, Stanky and the rest of their ilk develop an entitled attitude that they are so infallibly brilliant that customers will automatically buy their product, regardless of the lack of competitive pricing or features. Then when reality hits them hard in the face, these unprepared fools are taken completely by surprise.

Board of directors, do your job and get rid of these clowns.

I am looking at the tMobile pricing and you are full of c-ap that they are cheaper when you account for the discount. i also have family and friends who have switched from Verizon and TMobile to at&t over coverage. Including people in my subdivision complaining they cant use their phones as a hotspot because the performance, when I mentioned I was.
If you think at&t has ignored the network you don't know what you are talking about. We put hundreds of millions of dollars into the network every year. i have no issue with you complaining about AT&T but at least be honest

Aren’t leaders supposed to think ahead and plan for every eventuality they can think of? Hell, I’m just a peon and I have seen this coming. If he was truly surprised he should resign immediately.

I am embarrassed to admit it, but I have been with tmo for 6 years. They give me what I need for less than att with employee discount. In my case adding up all the features I get with tmo is less than att with the discount.... I can also get unlocked phones and tmo doesn't restrict/disable features like att does on unbranded devices.
