Any idea how many positions in total were eliminated due to recent MVO and then the involuntary reductions that followed across the various orgs? I haven't heard anything recently as far as the total impact and have not heard any rumors regarding the rest of 2020.

After the company releases the annual report:
- Open www.sec.gov and, enter "T" in the top right box titled "Search SEC.gov" and then press enter.
- Now click on "AT&T Filings on EDGAR."
- Enter "10-k" in the Filings search box and search.
That is the annual report. Search on "employee" and you'll see the exact number.
The numbers on career intelligence are correct.
I don't know why folks continually ask this question when that information is NEVER directly communicated or made public. Closest you 'd come to having any idea is by running Webphone reports before and after each event; surplus, MVO, etc. (as someone else here suggested).
Most of that information can be pulled up in career path job trends broken down by business segment drilled down to job title.
@-hkd, what is your department, area of business that's been so deeply affected? Rare do I hear of an outing of so many high levels in a concentrated area
my AVP got surplussed, my Director got surplussed, two supervisors got surplussed, just in my little department, there aren't many of us left. Everyone is with IBM, ACCENTURE, or outside the company. I'm pretty the few of us left won't make it to see 2021.
Simple, check the no. of direct reports under Scott Mair in Amplify between now and end of March
Whatever the real numbers are, they never seem to be at, or equal to the intended numbers they wanted to obtain. Seems that people are very good at getting missed by the axe drop. Plus, they always turn around and re-hire right after a fire/reorg. So, headcount may not be the only factor to work with here, as the real bottom line is money. The question should be, how much were they paying total in salary across the board and across the level ranges in 2018, 2019 and what are they slated to be in 2020. We need someone in HR/Compensation to help us out with this one.
