Sudden change in absence control

Anyone who picked “absence / vacation control” as the hot topic for January wins an all expense paid vacation to... oops... can’t take that week sorry

Yeah I can tell u about chronic abusers. New employees come into co wait their 1 year for FMLA eligibility then run out and get a chronic FMLA, and take their 60 days every year, I could tell u stories. Then you have those that gI out on disability every year for “stress.” The company is and never has been interested in curbing absence.

That’s true. There are a lot of chronic disabilities, people who show up a few times a year, complain while they’re there, and are instantly back out again.
And yes, they ruin it for everyone. I am union to the core, always have been, but I agree with the previous post 100%.

There are the chronic leeches and the perennial disability abusers that like clockwork fraudulently take advantage of disability benefits.

The company should focus on those individuals ON and OFF the job.

Those S bag creeps are ruining it for the people that one day may truly need those benefits.

They are easy to find.....just look at their attendance yearly.

Get rid of them...they are useless while on the job anyway.

They only take and give NOTHING back.

Super entitled and worth every dime there, Marylou.
Absence plans were always “just suggestions” for the highly skilled craft, and they will remain that way regardless of silly, punitive, rules that won’t be enforced anyway.
We take time whenever our little highly skilled hearts desire.

OP- The new crackdown will pass by month’s end, like it has many times before. And I picked “swearing” as January’s hot topic. Lost again

Wow. I never heard of a union employee sitting on their a$$ doing nothing living on corporate welfare. Thanks for enlightening me.
