Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

ATT vs Verizon view of employees

I can’t help but watch the Verizon commercials and see the difference between the two companies. They show employees as individuals and as part of the company working to better their network for their customers. Then there is ATT, which does not seem to value their employees or customers.
(Gotta admit, I’m a little envious of those Verizon employees.h

Verizon is worse and I’ve worked at both. An employee got into a confrontation with me at work and I cursed at them. They got fired and I got written up. Left the company shortly after. They spent the whole time trying to coach me out. At least AT&T has the union protection.

I don't think either company cares about their employees. Both are too big and treat their employees like c-ap. Just another expense on the bottom line to reduce or eliminate.

You want to work for a company that cares for their employees, go into business for yourself or work for a small business that doesn't have 9 layers of management.

I just wish ATT would stop with the ghetto voice over commercials. It’s so condescending.

Btw I’m black.

Former VZW employee, as the landline failed business model infiltrates their corporate culture employees see the outlook for their future look more and more like ours. The advantage they had early on was wireless management took over at their inception
unlike landline taking over Cingular here. Now our wireless network maintenance has diminished in favor of MSOC, bull room meetings, mentoring, saftey backpacks and pure nonsense. None of this makes sense in the wireless network work, but alas, it is a paycheck if one can keep their sanity.

Go to the Verizon layoff page and you'll see their comments mirror ours. Corporate greed, layoffs, outsourcing, unreasonable expectations. Same song, same verse.

Stop believing everything you see on fake commercials. It's corporate Verizon trying to brainwash you. Wake up!
