What is Legacy "T".
It is the old original AT and all the Bell operating companies. It was declared a monopoly in 1982. And broke up into the RBOC s, (Regional Bell Operating Companies). The Ameritech region was the mid-west, (Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana) ,and makes up the CWA District 4. You are probably to young to have been around at this time, but may have heard about it in History, or a Business class.

The date of the announcement is contractual for the SE. It is December 15. However that is on the weekend so we should hear Friday Dec 13th.

2020 is here so those who did not retrain are in danger of becoming unemployed. But AT&T has probably out sourced the work that you have trained for.

Probably not until the beginning of the year. This place will effectively shut down for the last two weeks of the year. They will probably furlough the contractors again for the last two weeks and go on autopilot (like every year for the last 10). I'm so looking forward to this last vacation.

Rumor ...fake news. No layoffs in Dec'19.
Wait for good news in Jan'2020

Friday the 13th sounds like a much more appropriate date. 😜
Legacy T has published the dates, and likely the other bargained for employees have the same date
Announcement 12/13/2019 1st quarter
Announcement 03/13/2020 2nd quarter
Announcement 06/15/2020 3rd quarter
Announcement 09/15/2020 4th quarter

Leg T has an off-payroll date of two months later, but I think some BellSouth titles might have a three month period before layoff. So, that will vary by contract.
