Some management employees are so shielded in their positions, and have their head down working so hard, that they are not exposed to all the other facets of the greater businesses. It was not a part of their dept or organization, not anything to do with any project they worked on. I can sure see how there are some that can work here for 10 - 30 years and not know of Wholesale or some other area of business. That is not the case for me, however I have come across some very smart, intelligent and educated people that are very hard working knowledgeable folks that don't know anything about Wholesale, and so what. Wholesale is a small area or business dealt mostly by Sales. Also, an area where Wholesale information is red lined away from those who deal with Consumer information, I think due to Rule 272, I could stand to be corrected.

If you've never heard of Wholesale, you are so out of the loop that it's not even worth discussing.

APEX = AT&T Partner Exchange. Originally to sell AT&T service/products to VAR's (Value Added Resellers), but not as a wholesale product. It's pricing was in general a little more expensive than that of the Wholesale pricing. They were blocked from knowing the Wholesale pricing. Oddly enough, the companies that were the clients, the buyers, were also the same company that bought from our Wholesale branch. Odd I know. It's been a non-money making failure, for many reasons, but namey there are only so many companies, as in few and far, that can be a reseller of AT&T services/products.

Not sure of the full impact in Wholesale, but know the entire organization that provides services to AT&T’s internal companies (e.g. AT&T Wireless and WarnerMedia) as well as does the high speed internet and dedicated internet ordering for Wholesale customers was cut 100%. Also heard the Wholesale Directors were told they are in an impacted workgroup, but don’t know how many.

Partner Solutions/APEX, former EBM (Emerging Business Markets), has never made any profit from the day it was conceived, circa 2012. Even reforming it (adding wholesale) and changing its name (APEX), still a great big nothing burger. It only produced one program, it was to develop many, but flopped. It was also the LDP onboarding ground zero, where many of the various businesses today are a headed by AVPs, VPs, SVPs and Presidents, they all started from the EBM. I can't believe that it hasn't long since been disbanded, and swept under the rug with the rest of some many failed start-ups. No telling how much money that 'business' has wasted to this point.

My entire team in Wholesale including our Director were told we are being cut during a call this morning. Actual notifications in January and off payroll in March. Merry Xmas!

HR Partner said to get our resumes out quick, as other groups were getting their announcements today as well. Didn't say which other organizations.
