Usuallu management offers are folowed by craft offers. Is it fair to assume first quarter?

Sure we want the offer.....but were not staying just for that goofball. I"ll continue to work till i'm ready to leave. Year 44 starting up...watching the interest rates now. Were seeing some of the largest lumps to date! In craft WE control our destiny. Going into the 2021 new contract will give you the health benefits for the remainder of that contract. So i have a eye on alot of things...but IF they would come out with a really good offer ....yes I'd take it. Otherwise i'll work until the timing is perfect for ME!
The old timers always wants this “offer” even though there hasn’t been one in decades. If you want to retire, put in for SIPP and you’ll get it the next time there’s a surplus. Otherwise you’ll be waiting on that offer until you are too old to care.
I believe you can still take a SIPP right now in the Midwest, due to the mechanics that were surpluses AND I’m starting year 44 waiting for a good offer too!
I’ve found that in almost every surplus I’ve been involved with over the years they would open it up for anyone looking to go voluntarily in inverse seniority. No takers then the junior people get surplussed . Not sure if that’s still happening
It’s not an “offer” if you are craft. It’s a surplus.
@12n4WExu-zns Not pathetic at all. Start with T at 18 and at 65 you have 47 years. Lots of people wait until 65 or after to retire.
It depends on what group or department. It's very limited for craft. I have been wait for years, decades and no offer. Even turn in my VSB paperwork.

I don’t think there will be an offer for non-bargained employees. More likely just a surplus impacting lowest seniority employees with cheapest severance impact. Then overload more senior employees with work so they retire on their own

Or southeast craft ? want to walk but I’ll stay retired in place until they make me an offer I can’t refuse. 47 years and counting
